Remember going to the dealership with my dad in 1993 when he picked up his Teal 1992 Geo Storm for $11,500. That is the car I learned to drive stick with, and it was a very reliable car for a long time. Had about 92k miles on it before it got totaled in an accident in 2004, but it still ran and drove and the neighbor bought it.

I drive my 1995 with 66,0000 miles on it. I had a trailer hitch installed, but it needed a special harness to boost power to the trailer. I don`t really plan on towing.

I have a '05 Impala with the 3800 SII engine. 265k and running strong. Only larger maintenance I needed to do was two water pumps, coolant elbows, and LIM gaskets. She is a northern car so the body is rusting away but the drive train is solid! Love this car

I wonder if these new generation can do 40 mpg’s like these kings back in the day and still make it more fun than these bigger cars nowadays? Makes me think these kids have it good with all that power and no money😂

It's a Chevy Malibu. I will admit I have had a lot of GM's and they all had electric problems. Started buying Ford and my electrical shorts and problem are now a thing of the past. My 98 Oldsmobile intrigue was in the shop for the first 30 days I owned it. I was like why did I buy a car that I can't drive?

I owned a 1974, 1973, 1975, a 1980 and now a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS with 12 inch front brakes. I loved my Cutlasses with the big 350 V8's, a 455 and a 280 V8. The '98 I found in November of 2023. Garage kept for all 25 years with a Kansas sticker in the door jam. I took the top of the engine down and replaced all components, radiator, tune up. Sounds like a new car. 102,000 miles on it. Wow, I have a gem...

Lots of people don't know the 500's from passenger seat folds forward. So that, combined with rear seats folded down and you can get like 12ft lumber in there no problem!

Bought my 2007 Limited in 2016 with 182k on the odometer. Very first issue with it was in 2022 with 248k on the odometer and that was just an alternator. I've owned many good cars, but never had one be trouble free for that many miles and that late in it's life. I got an AMAZING deal on a 2007 Lincoln MKZ a few years ago, so my 500 sees less use as I'm trying to keep the miles down a bit on it, but I 100% trust it on my 70 miles commute despite the 252k on the odometer. Best car I've ever owned (I'm 54)

We bought a new 05 Fivehundred Limited with the 6 speed auto. when the came out. My wife loved the back seat and trunk room. The power was fine. It's not a muscle car, but it does fine. we have 130,000 miles on it now and she won't let go of it. She still likes the car and doesn't want to pay for a new car. It still runs great, has given us very few problems, and will be getting a paint job in the near future. I figure if she's happy with it, spending $5000 on it is better than $40 or 50k on a new vehicle.

In 1987, I had the good fortune to buy a white, Heritage edition, with every option, including the removable sunroof. I had the 255 (4.2) V8.. It was quite gutless, though very smooth.. It had a very decent functioning, vacuum operated "automatic temperature control" system. I loved that car. I eventually swapped the 255 for a 5.0 HO Mustang GT motor, and shift kit in the AOD. Complete with the shorty headers and quad cat "H" pipe, after I got a trusty "Double hump" cross member.. My own, poor man's Lincoln MK 7 LSC. I even had those "Turbine" wheels too.. Thanks for sharing Pal...

i have one of these. its an 88 hatchback. one of the last 100 to roll off the assembly line. the hatchback never had the twin cam sadly. it came with the 4alc engine{1.6L, 8valve single cam, as far as i know they were all carborated}. its my project car now. racing coil overs, engine swapped to a 4afe 16V twin cam, ported and polished head, stainless steel 4-2-1 header, custom made body kit (kind of), and a much more to come like a super charger and a 5spd trans. 80s cars are the new 60s and 70s cars!!! ill always love the square 80s sh!tbox cars!

Coming from a 1986 Nissan Maxima SE 5 speed, I test drove a 1991 Lexus ES 250 5 speed. Lexus wanted to sell them badly and they offered a goody bag just to come in and test drive one. 2 things I remember from the test drive: it felt much slower than my Maxima. It was so much larger inside than I expected. Later that year, I Test drove an Acura Vigor, Honda Accord, Infiniti M30 and Nissan Maxima. It was close between the Acura and Nissan, but in the end horsepower won. I ended up buying a loaded 1992 Nissan Maxima SE. In hindsight, I should have bought a 1992 Lexus ES 300 or perhaps an Acura Legend.

Five Hundred, in letters, lands like concrete bricks with *none* of the cachet or 'visual rhythm' of long-ago Galaxie 500 or Fairlane 500, the 500 in numbers following a car-line name.

This is an awesome video! I love the nissan xterra. Currently own 2 first generation xterras. One is a silver and black 2000 se automatic v6 with 240k miles its my daily driver. The other is a 2002 silver se supercharged automatic 4wd with 150k miles that I'm modifying for outdoor trips with the family. These trucks are amazing, reliable, capable, easy to work on. I highly recommend picking up a used one if you want a truck you can easily modify and have fun with. I picked both of them up used for great prices even thinking of getting a third to have a manual 4wd.
