I don't know why Salesforce does not enable a revenue schedule on opportunity level, without the need of having product breakdown, setting up price books etc, but just having the option of double clicking the opportunity total amount into monthly amounts.

Sales people spend way too much time today keeping score and nowhere near enough time finding solutions and helping customers. Funny....we sold LOTS of stuff before computers and "paperwork generators" like this came about. How'd we do that ??

Unfortunately Salesforce only allows you to select a 'vertical' funnel chart. Probably the closest you can get is a horizontal stacked bar chart. Gary

Hi Jaya, you can have more than one Path on the Lightning page layout. However, you might also consider using opportunity record types i.e. different paths based on the 'type' of opportunity, and include the full set of stages in a single path on the page. The record type determines the page layout, and you have the appropriate path on each page. Gary

Gary, do you recommend insurance brokers use the product feature? Our product pricing is very complex and I struggle to see how we integrate the product feature.

Hi Jonathan, I definitely believe insurance brokers can use Salesforce, in fact we've deployed the app to the industry several times. The big question is, what is an opportunity? It somewhat depends on how your model works, but for example, an opportunity can represent the process you go through to get onto a panel or into a buying group. As I say, it depends primarily on how your business operates. Gary

@@Garysmithpartnership Thanks for the reply! We definitely use opportunities. The issue for us is whether to incorporate the product object. Price book is kind of useless for us seeing as the price of a policy is outside our control and in the hands of the carrier.

@@Foxygrandpa2131 The chances are you should be using products; even if they are 'manufactured' by the someone else. If you're using products, you have to have at least one price book - that's the thing that enables a product on an opportunity to have a value. If the product prices vary by segment (e.g. discounted for not-for-profits or sell in other currencies (which I'm guessing you don't), then you likely need more than one price book. Can you talk about when an opportunity should actually be created? If the contact or account reaches the MQL threshold, should marketing create the opportunity or wait for sales to create it during their qualification process?

Hi Jonathan, you question relates to a topic that bedevils many companies. As a general rule, I favor a) creating the opportunity (in the Prospecting stage) earlier rather than later and b) having marketing create the opportunity once it reaches pre-defined criteria, rather than leaving it to sales. Hi I have one scenario. I have total win rate. Then I have three regions with BDMs in each region.now I have to calculate avg win rate for each region.then I need to compare each BDM in particular region with that regions avg win rate. Please let me know the measures calculations and how we can show in power bi. Also if in table or matrix how to color code based on avg win rate.eg if BDM1 in Asia has win rate less than avg win rate of Asia ,then value should be colored red background. Thanks in advance

Dated, or just insufficient? To me a call list keeps track of who I called and removes them from the list when I've made that call. It allows me to flag individuals with different results: Left a message and need to call back, wrong number, out of service, which product they were interested in, etc. Otherwise any list anywhere is just as good. Why not just click each name int he webinar attendee list?

Hi I have installed your package but when I change the closed date it doesn't changes the schedule date for opportunity line items it remains the same as set earlier what should be done for this

Hi Akanksha, the package moves the revenue schedules on the product line items, rather than the line items themselves.
