They had tall diff gears from the factory, 2.56, or performance option 3.07 (autos), manuals got 3.45. Popular in the US for manuals is 4.10 Id have a look at the Z51 steering rack (2 turns lock to lock), and just rebuild the factory Bilsteins An under rated car!

Thanks for that Knowledge, This has the 3.45 gears, so it will be ok to start with, but that rack is certainly a good trick, Ill follow up on that one!

Amazing that the hood is so flush for having such a large engine. I have an 82 mustang gl with the 200ci i6 and I wanna put a barra in it. Would it even fit?
