I am in shock. Normally I’ll take holistic over Western meds any day. Because of my kidneys. But I ended up in the ER a week ago yesterday and that ER doctor did not even sound out my lungs! Never took out a stethoscope never checked anything to do with my lungs and he wasn’t even particularly nice. Whopping co-pay and out the door! Told me to use Flonase. I had tried a dozen things and nothing worked. I was so sick I thought I was going to meet my Maker. So with no way to get to my doctor with Kaiser Permanente’s new system until “48 hours“ ~and I certainly wasn’t going back to the ER ~yes I thought I might be possibly going to die. So in desperation my last act was going to be to google What does Barbara O’Neil say about pneumonia?” (Since I had been granted an emergency phone visit with my primary and she said “Sounds like you may have pneumonia.”) Gee…. tell that to that idiot ER doctor. I ended up with two of my pedicure foot bags each filled with half an onion wrapped around my feet am I passed out for the deepest sleep I have had in months. I woke up and my lungs that had sounded like a flock of sheep off in the distance earlier was now quiet. The mucus I have been drowning in was gone. The hacking and coughing was gone and I just felt such a stillness in my body. Even unto my spirit~it was downright a spiritual experience I have to tell you! And I texted my best friend to let her know that I hadn’t died! I had thought that onions in a sock was almost like Christian voodoo!!! My lungs are clear and quiet as a baby’s. (I don’t know if I’m completely out of the woods yet but I will be a lifelong devotee of Dr. Barbara O’Neil.) PS~Wait till my primary doctor hears about this! Plus I have decided to type up a one page document and send it to the ER! I think I’ll even ask for my money back!
