John, yes, the rearranged scape is why. Pea Puffers are mid tank dwellers so give him more cover mid & upper levels of the tank. Where is his cave? He needs a tunnel or cave made of natural / living material or proper rocks. Pea Puffers logic is "out of sight, out of mind". He needs to establish his own little territoty to feel secure & less stressed. Give him a section he can rule and make sure the other fish also have their own spaces. Is he still alive now?

may be you can try to add 2 o 3 pea puffer and agression restringed between puffs...

really they go free mode... but if they are afraid (modifications in the tank) they keep toguether... ..if you keep.other pea puffs the agrressions are bettween them and ignore the tanks mates... you can see my puffs... 99.5 % no schoolin....mini predators... no friends...🐡🐡🐡 may be when still very young... but they keep their vital space of oher puffer... really machines... behaivor territorial more than agressive... always they r nnot hungry... then dangeeeeer!!!

Just air bubbles trapped in between the gaps. Could pluck it out of the tank, squeeze out the water gently, then place back in with fishing line, thread, some kind of thing to anchor it down with 👍

He was so peaceful for months and then I redid the landscape and it's not as heavily planted as it was and I'm wondering if he felts threatened about his territory? I've had other pea puffers go from nice to mean like an on/off switch too whereas some have remained peaceful and docile but those tanks are heavily and densely planted.
