Do you have the specs for the cam used? I understand it's a General Kinetics 17303A also what is initial and WOT timing used on your Javelin? Thanks

Hi..Jim which ignition do you use and how much does the engine weigh with fluid, nice video.. thanks

Which engine is that one? Is hard to find a single engine without electronics today, how many it's weight?

Are those 1080HD's? I'm looking at replacing the 1080's with one 1280 and one 1080 on each gear.

I have one these Ford 3.8L Essex V6's in my 1985 Mercury. Ported heads, 4V Holley and Isky cam. Pulling it out for a 351W with GT40 heads. It was an interesting engine to build but for the money I should have done the V8 right from the start.

Really like that tool, is the V6 Stol flying now, I found one on the east coast, will reverting back to the 0-320 take the airframe out of experimental designation?

The designer and builder of the Javelin - Ford v-6, Dave Blanton, was notable in my area and he had a hangar and construction facility at Augusta Municipal Airport outside of Augusta, Ks. I worked line service at the airport in the late '80s and he took me for a ride in his Curtiss Robin with the original radial 6 cylinder Challenger engine. There were several of the Ford v-6 conversions in use, probably still are, and they were fairly well regarded. I recall learning that he was one of the chief engineers of the flying boom refueling systems on the KC-135 tankers.

Hello Jim, great video very helpful. I have a question about calibrating the tps. When turning the red knob 7 times counter clockwise, is there a starting point before turning it 7 times? Thanks
@yzflyboy15 жыл бұрын
Not really- they have you go 7 turns out just to make sure you are out of the range and then adjust from there......
@vallewigert17704 жыл бұрын
7 turns for TPS 0, idle setting is far less maybee 4 turns.

I had a great time flying around there and as far as camping go it is the best. I just got back from flying the 170 in southern Utah two weeks ago but the camping is not as good as Johnson Creek......

Hi Jim, Thanks for the video. Great help when fitting the ecu on my 2019 sxf 250. Out of interest under the profiles tab in the wiget app do you have 3 different profiles? The demo has 3 different profiles but my app only has one profile for dry...Im using android currently.
@yzflyboy15 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay- I created the other 2 maps but have never used them when I first installed the ECU but the one that came with it worked so well I never tried the ones I made..............

Nice looking A Model, and thanks for the video! I plan to take my 170 up there in a year or two, after I get some real performance data. Do you remember your outside air temp and gross weight for takeoff?
@yzflyboy15 жыл бұрын
The temps where cool about 40f in the morning and 60f in the afternoon. I was about 1900lb. I would let it get the tail up on takeoff and then put it 1 notch of flaps just to get it to jump off the ground.....
