Hi mate - watched both your G003 and G017 reviews. Which do you recommend?
@RetorterАй бұрын
I live in Vic so mainly Vic high country where it can be pretty slippery and rocky. Obviously 3hrs highway driving there and back. Any comments would be appreciated!
@BobJaneTMartsOfficialАй бұрын
We'd always recommend visiting your nearest Bob Jane T-Marts to get advice specific to how you drive and what you need, but the G003 according to Yokohama's website is probably your best bet. They're designed to "prevent stone drilling and keep the grooves clear". But still definitely worth chatting to a tyre professional who can walk you through everything!

Hi mate, what size tyres there, and why are 16x9 rims ideal for the 79s, Vs say a 16x8?
@BobJaneTMartsOfficialАй бұрын
Hey mate! Tyres are a 315/75R16. With OE 79s (depending on the model) they come with 16x7 or 16x5.5. It's simply a more manufactured fitment, the 16x9 just allows for a larger variety of tyres to fit the vehicle, such as the afore mentioned 315/75R16's. It also helps with tracking and offset purposes as well. We would recommend either a 16x9 or 16x8, it comes down to look and driving style/intention.

I watched with my son and his OBSESSED. He rewatched the mannequin falling about 3 times 😂 I loved how there was a range of clips from race cars to formula to motorcycle and the commentary was entertaining and broken down where everyone can understand what’s going on not just racing car enthusiasts. You’ve officially gotten my little one pumped to go see a car race in person!

I just like the fact that it's both humourous and succinct for those who may have missed it. In saying that, I'm not sure about others but this may be TOO short, I'd love to have seen more highlights from the race (it doesn't need a voiceover, it's just to lengthen out the segments a bit more) especially from the Abu Dhabi autonomous race.

WHAT THE - the driverless cars, is that real - also made me laugh. Howdy. I'm in SW Colorado, just east of Durango and in the San Juan Mountains. I'm no fluent in Ozzie. Could you tell me what you mean by 'bitumen"? I've been running Cooper STT 32-22.50/15 on a '85 FJ60 since 2015. They've been great tires but down to about 3/16", riding rough and noisy. I've looked at a lot of tires and I think your report here just kicked me over the edge for the Yokos. Great ratings, and I can get 5 for the same money as 4 of Cooper, BFG and what have you. Cheers, mate! (That last not because I'm trying to sound Australian but because I'm of Scottish extraction and spend a lot of time at Scottish games/festivals, richt?)

I live in north Uk, we get a lot of rain, especially in winter (like nearly daily) regular in summer too but not like every day. .. Fairly mild winters like 2-8c most of the time. lows of -4 (can be lower odd times) summer is fairly cool- temps like 18-23c sometimes upto 28. Never really more than 2 weeks max without rain. I drive just a normal estate car, low profile tyre for summer at moment and they are terrible in winter. I don’t drive a lot - maybe 8000 max/year. I think all season V pattern tread might be good, what you think?
@BobJaneTMartsOfficial5 ай бұрын
Hey there, keeping in mind here in Australia our tyre markets are quite different. From what you've described, definitely an All-Season pattern is your best bet. They'll give you a good versatile performance. However, it's always best to stop by your local tyre shop to get advice specific to your driving! We here like the performance of something like the Pirelli Cinturato or Hankook Kinergy, but again this all depends on a few factors hard to ascertain from here in AUS. Hope this helps!

There is no reason to put nitrogen in any car tires other than race cars going above 150mph. The reason aircraft use it and why race cars may benefit is because ther is no moisture in nitrogen. Filling with compressed air can introduce small amounts of water and when below freezing such as in an airplane or wintertime in cars, that water can freeze making the tire slightly out of balance. At normal highway speeds, it isn’t a problem. As for nitrogen not leaking out as fast, that is complete BS! Normal air is ALREADY 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. If his excuse was true, then over time, just filling your tires with air, having the oxygen leak out quicker, and then refilling them over and over would lead to the tires increasing the concentration of nitrogen on their own.
