I don't mind :) I chose Las Vegas because it was the closest rotation site to my hometown in California

Hello! Classes were online for me because of COVID-19. I completed 1.5 years out of the 2 years of basic sciences, online. Classes are back to in-person. I went to Mexico for one semester and UAG has remained with a required in-person policy since January 2022. 😁

You're welcome! Yes, I bought white scrubs for my time in Mexico. You can wear any color sweater for Mexico. Later I bought other color scrubs for my 3rd year clinical rotations in Las Vegas. 😁

hello! Yes, I really do need to make an update video, but I still recommend it. There has been administrative changes in the last semester. New dean and new staff. More of a focus on USMLE (step exams), MATCH, and clinical skills. I am not sure of the match % UAG has per class since there are many students who apply post graduation. I do know that to practice in the US, your son will need to finish medical school + take step 1 and 2 + complete a residency in the US. To apply to residencies we have to use ECFMG program to be obtain an ECFMG certification. This certificate is approved when we have passed an English proficiency test, passed step 1/2, and finished medical school. Hope this helps!

Thank you for supporting my channel :) The only financial advantage comes from attending the national medical school program, instead of the international one. However, the national program is in Spanish and with a subject based curriculum. There are Mexican-Americans attending UAG and they pay the same as anyone else that does not have Mexican citizenship.

I completed 1.5 years of medical school online because of the pandemic. It was temporary because I did go to Mexico for 1 semester because it is now in-person attendance for years 1 & 2.

From my understanding, there is no minimum GPA requirement. I believe they do a wholistic review of your application.

From my understanding, you can apply for your ID at anytime since it will stay the same for you until you take step 3. However I believe it is required to take your Step 1 within a year of completing the notary step process, otherwise there is a fee. Not too well informed, so I would advice to call or email ECFMG directly to confirm.

It is nice to have a roommate Bc being in another country can get lonely. However, make sure you two are clear with your living boundaries and expectations before finding an apartment. A host family would be great in terms of price. Food and rent are usually about $500-600, which is awesome! I could not find one close to campus when I went in January 2022. I ended renting an apartment on Calle Chichimecas (across the street from the old campus ICB). Students usually live around ICB and then shuttle to and from the new campus.
