Your didn't mention the 228 being used by the FBI. West German made 228 is my favorite pistol of all time. I've put about 3K rounds through mine. Now I also own a FDE M11-A1. But the old 228 shoots better IMHO.

I have the same 9mm P938 Legion, and I love it... I carry it in a Mitch Rosen OWB holster that the combination of the two makes it disappear on me with my t-shirt over it. It's a perfect carry gun as it's so comfortable, you almost forget you even have it on you. And it shoots pretty good, but it is a little 3" barrel so don't expect too much from it. I do have two big gripes with it though... The first is the take down, it's a pain in the butt to fight with the slide's recoil spring to try to line up the little hole, then struggle to get that slidestop pin out, there isn't enough sticking out on the other side to push it through so you have to hope you have enough fingernail to get under it to pull it off. And putting it back together isn't much better, and you have to be careful not to scratch the frame with the slidestop putting it back in. I have the P229 Legion, and it's incredibly easy to take down in comparison, no parts to pull apart, quick, fast... but not so with the little P938. I wish Sig would redesign it and just copy the P229/P226 take down function. My other gripe, is the mag. Unlike my P229 mag where each round is sitting at the exact same angle, so they're all lined up against each other the same... with the P938, the top round is tilted up higher than all the other rounds below it. Because of that, the top round is only held in place by the mag lips, with almost no support by the round below it. If you do a magazine change, and slap the new mag in, the top round tends to dislodge. It either simply pops out of the gun's open slide, or when you rack it, it jams. And it's all because of the way the mag holds that top round. If you carry a spare mag in your pocket, that top round will probably fall out as well. Sig needs to redesign the mag, no idea why they designed it that way. Otherwise, I still love the gun... I tend to carry it more than my P229, though my P229 is a superior gun in every way, the little P938 is just perfect for EDC.

Absolutely not judging you on running your PX4's wet; my PX4 Compact Carry actually prefers it. Mine is stock with the LTT trigger bar upgrade (as you say, highly recommended) & it's my favorite pistol, but clean & wet is when she performs best. (Honestly...no puns or innuendo's intended)

I’m a fellow Sig fanboy. I have and love to shoot Sigs in 9mm, 40S&w/357 Sig and 45acp. I also own a Glock 10mm and a 45acp. My favorite 10mm pistol is a Springfield XD Elite. The Glock is nice, but not as fun to shoot as the Springfield.

The P30Sk (non-LEM) is a wonderful gun. Springfield used to make the XDE which was a DA/SA hammer fired 9MM which was also a great sub compact offering. I sold my striker fired pistols several years ago because of the danger of accidental discharges especially when carrying concealed. If they ever stop making DA or DA/SA pistols I will go back to revolvers.

I picked up a pair of the 10875 yesterday (under $215), which was much cheaper than the Heritage line up. The shoe store I purchased them at has a machine to add lace speed hooks. I had the top eyelets replaced with hooks, but I should have done the top two maybe? I don't normally buy moc toe/wedge sole boots, but I am looking forward to giving these a try. I hope to wear them for many years. I have a pair of 953 Super Sole boots that are 19 years old, but they also look like it. The 10875 seems like a very well built boot, & I like that lace speed hooks can be added to them.

I would say that neither is the best option. The best option is the P365 X Macro non-comp version. That or the P365 X with the MagGuts 14 round magazines. And if you get the Icarus grip module with the built in "gas pedal" for either gun, then you've really got something special.

@@TheArkansasGunGuy I had the comped version and didn't find there to be a significant difference in recoil. At the same time, the greater sight radius of the non-comped version helps me to get on target faster. But really, you can't go wrong with either. I do recommend the Icarus Precision grip module with the built in gas pedal. It's pricey at $400 but worth it in my opinion.

That stripping is supposed to be cut at the top near the front of the cab, they are not supposed to overlap the sides like that, the side rails of the cover do go over the bed caps and that weather stripping but unless you cut that flush with the side bed caps you will never allow that to lay totally flat there. Just a tip from the peanut gallery
@mendoafgoo420
@mendoafgoo420 6 күн бұрын
The one on my ram 2500 I have the side rails canted at an angle with the outside parts with the seal as tight as humanly possible to the bed caps and the inner part pulled up as high as I could so that the seals function as intended and I also cut the weather stripping at the front bed cap to lay flat since they give you too much overhang when new and tell you to cut it back so it lays flat. If you do this properly the only spot water enters is at the tailgate when you open it but they even have a weather stripping kit for the tailgate itself so you make it totally sealed inside. Hope this helps

Nice video and great shooting range you have there! I have question. I have second hand P09. When I bought it I cleaned it really and there were nothing in the barrel bore. After 100 shots there are tiny flakes peeled around land edges near chamber and a few flakes near crown. They are not deep, just rough grey spots just bellow surface. I think it is just something like "finish wear" or top layer of tenifer (softer thin layer which makes black color). Is it normal?

Bought mine about a year or so ago but it has the original polygonal rifling. Easier to clean but instructions say do not shoot cast lead bullets through it. With cost of ammunition rising they switched to conventional rifling through it. Despite the case having dust on it, it is the newer version. Apparently leading cakes up the barrel leading to higher pressures.

One more thing: Canik makes a DA/SA poly frame striker pistol called the TP9DA (which means it's the DA version of their TP9 pistol, not to be confused with the single action only TP9SA). Everything that people love about the Canik's was plagiarized from Walther. The crisp trigger with short reset was practically Walther's calling card and Canik just swiped it. Now that we're in the era of the pre-cocked striker, Canik's SFT and Mete guns are still just ripoffs of newer Walthers like the PPQ and the PDP. I guess for those who are still interested in a striker pistol in DA/SA format but somehow completely missed the boat on Walther's P99 (which will be remembered as a masterpiece by those who have tried it), the TP9DA might be a good option. But that's kind of like when you order a Coke and the waiter says they only have Pepsi, it's not exactly the same. To answer your question, yes, there are still some P99 Final Editions floating around but they won't last forever. There will come a day when they'll run out and these will go up in value. Will it be enough that you should deny yourself the fun of shooting it now? That just depends on whether keeping your collection is pristine is more important than a fun range day. I will say that if you want to get a beater P99 to keep your Final Edition perfect, make sure you get a P99 AS. The "anti-stress" trigger was the P99's defining trait. The P99 QA (which stands for "quick action") is a P99 iteration that came out as people were transitioning away from DA/SA to go to pre-cocked strikers and it loses what made the P99 special in the first place.
@gracedagostino5231
@gracedagostino5231 10 күн бұрын
Exactly, the P99 QA is just a pre PPQ, better to get the P99 AS. There is a reason all the Final Editions are the AS version.

I was in junior high back in the 90's when the P99 was the pistol of the future. It was the new gun of 007 and there was something about it that completely captured my imagination. I was so sad to see it finally discontinued but it's awesome that it had such a run and Walther even gave it a proper send-off with this Final Edition. I still think it's a cool gun. The paddle mag release is my favorite, the ergos are solid and the functionality is perfect. I wish DA/SA was still trending because there deserve to be more DA/SA poly frame striker guns out there, I prefer this over the pre-cocked striker for safer carry every day. Great video, cheers! 🍻

I used to be quite a good competitive tactical shooter with my cz85. Had to sell it 20 years ago. Started shooting again with the CZ polymer series. P10f p10c and p07. They are not as accurate and i find it difficult to do rapid fire with them. Its a technique thing of course, but i think i will just buy an all steel cz pistol
