it's been more than 20 years since I first heard you sing and even still every time you record a new song it's absolutely magical. Your songs helped me in the darkest moments and helped me to understand that if you can sing something like that, that my voice is as important as the voice of people who are not brave enough to speak for themselves. Thank you for the wonderful music you've been making all these years and I can't wait to hear new songs.

Can't stop listening to this beautiful song. And though the words and pronunciation are beyond me😅, I do love this version much more than the English version. It does have way more power in this language. Goosebumps every single time.❤❤❤

This song is from album called "Mustan sydämen rovio" which is a double release with "Pyre of the Black Heart". Marko performed every song in both languages. And he also wrote all the songs, some originally in English, some originally in Finnish, so both albums have both original and translated songs. And as a native Finn that also knows English pretty well, the translations that Marko did are very good so you can just see the lyrics for the variant of the song you want to understand. For this song, you could just read the lyrics of The Voice of my Father and you wouldn't lose anything about the content of the song. The translations have minor intentional inaccuracies to allow using a word that sounds better in the song but the overall idea and message of every song is clearly the same both in Finnish and English.

I don't know if you read these comments Marko but I think you are such an awesome man. You are so talented. You are an amazing singer and guitarist. I miss you with Nightwish. It isn't the same without you. It's missing that spark that was you. Anyway, you look like a wizard and a Viking and men would kill to have hair like you do and you look half your age.
