Very pretty! Nice job! I would be curious if you would share links to other paint besides Lily Moon

Can you leave the big, back part of the handles off? Can you just use pulls?

Your business information is GOLD!! It helped me realize that being disabled (nerve damage) and trying to flip furniture for a living isn't feasible, as I don't think I can process the pieces fast enough (thanks to @#$% fatigue) to meet the end user's schedule. But I CAN do my flipping on gifts for friends and family! And maybe even as a side gig... Me: "Here, it's for YOU! Merry Christmas!" Recipient: "Thank you! LOVE the dresser! But... it's June..." Me: "Remember last Christmas, when I said your present would be a little late?" Recipient, thinking fast: ...did she say that? I want that dresser... I'm SURE she said that! "Yes, I remember! *THANK YEW!!! I love it!"*

Thrift stores in my area (southern Missouri) have gotten so expensive. But it was fun to watch you think through the pieces you were finding.

You are a MAGICIAN! David Blain himself could not have turned that dated monstrosity into an on-trend piece... but YOU... Okay, I am stealing that idea.

The bleaching was perfect. Idky you'd cover all that gorgeous grain n knots with paint, or maybe make it thinner? The hardware might've done better with a coat or two of dark gray or even espresso. But it was an awesome project.

It looks very nice, but I imagine when you add up the cost of all the chemicals, paint, supplies and labor it would be cheaper to buy the Amazon version. I realize that is not the point of your video, you are demonstrating how to turn an outdated thrift store find into a modern piece. Still, not everyone appreciates your mission.

Next time all you need is Bullseye clear shellac to stop the bleed through. I do prefer the lighter color for sure. I hope this sells quickly for you. The larger size should be a perk for buyers 👏🏻
@A-Minor-Music12 сағат бұрын
Yes I was also thinking shellac instead of oil-based primer.

I did like the bleach method. As for the dresser, since each side had it's own look and the piece was solid wood, I think I would have divided into two pieces. This would have made a small dresser and a side table.

The claw side of the hammer does the same thing those two tools you recommended in the beginning. Cost= free, because everyone has a hammer in their house.
@janycelee76542 күн бұрын
I liked the new finish, the handles don't compliment the beautiful color of the dresser.
