Why don't most of you see the correlation?? This song is racist. Point blank period. Its uncanny that black people & POC are still educating their counterparts. It screams lazy! Imagine going through an entire lifetime staying the exact same. Some of you will never change and that should terrify you. It's truly sad.

When I was a little girl back in the 70s this song would come on the radio, n it became my favorite as well the shimmy shimmy cocoa puff song n the banana boat song! So all 3 songs n artists wind up being my favorite tunes to hear on the radio at the time n I still enjoy them to this day.🕊️💛✨

As my husband was dying he played this song every day....a smile is good medicine...now he gone for 3 years I play this in his honor......still grieving here...but this song helps bring a smile...to remind me of all the joys......
