Loved it. And that you included those epic gear-saves. You hanging on to that log and grunting, the tossed phone glinting underwater, then you coming up huffing from the cold water, had me laughing. Amazing footage all around.

Haha! Right on cool timing. That was August of 2020' but maybe he's still in there or has a nephew who's just a big or bigger. Cool river. I learned to fly fish on the MF and it will forever be in the heart! Good luck to you and see you out there CamboSoup!

May I recommend a net? Reduces the amount of batter the fish inflict on themselves on rocks. Makes it easier to unhook, as you can apply slack and keep the fish

It's really a gem. Right now it's under fire management. Tried to visit 3 days ago and couldn't get closer than 15 miles from this stretch of water. Interesting how I was talking about fire in this video too!

Put your elbow in you side, it does not leave that position and use your wrist, your casting is cringe. But you seem to be doing fine catching fish.

Had two heavy nymphs so I was probably casting a bit different to keep those separate and untangled. Hitting the bulls eye so however it gets there gets there. Thanks for watching.

Man so nice! I find steelheading so hard to read ... looks like just a slow flat of water ... I probably wouldn't fish it very confidently. Maybe it's more obvious when you are actually in the water fishing it
