The 1978 revival of Jeopardy! was good even though it lasted for a year. It would have been more better to use the original concept from the original series because it took me time to get use to these new set of rules for this revival while watching it.

That's the cleanest I've heard that theme in about 50 years. This might have been a pilot episode. Most sources seem to agree that the debut was March 30, 1964. This clip is dated March 4th.

I always thought contestants were better read in the 1960s. Guess not. Love Art Fleming.

Gotta say, the theme used here is so whimsical that I found it quite jarring. Doesn’t really convey the idea that your chance to earn any money on the show will be in jeopardy if you don’t play and wager, if fortunate enough to reach Final _Jeopardy!_ carefully/strategically. I know that sounds nitpicky but don’t give me crap - it’s just my opinion.

The first Final Jeopardy, and by 1964 the likes of Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee had already made the character a household name, and nobody, including Art Fleming gets the answer right! - Count Dracula!
