I wanted to work at Sonobello so bad.. but soon s I graduated they changed the pay. They were paying $26/hr and now they pay $19 in Charlotte NC where the rent is $2k plus. Really sad they except all the work but dont want to pay.

Hi I’m a new subscriber, I’m also a single parent with a 3 year old. I plan on doing an ABSN, moving and all that. I’m also worried about needing a car for clinicals it’s also easier to have a car when you have kids. Did you get your car after you became an LPN or during school.

Hi I have just discovered your channel after typing single mum with special needs child and nurse into KZfaq, As I am one too. Sadly I am at the point of burnout and thinking of pursuing a job as a SEN teaching assistant. Nursing is sadly a very toxic work environment nowadays, as a floor nurse in UK our patients ratios are 10 : 1 with 1 CNA to sipport . I feel old and exhausted and my SN daughter is almost 18, like your son she has seizures, and I want to continue being a present mum for her instead of stressed burnout one !! Can only admire you for doing your training with a young SN child that takes a great deal of strength, I was already qualified when my daughter was born. You are a very strong lady x

@@handsumm it was fun at first but they are so short staffed they now have me just working in the clinic with whatever Dr. Nobody wants to work with. Currently looking elsewhere :/

Happy you are thriving in nursing, but remember in NY it is illegal to mandate nurses. If you are tired never stay another shift, they can call in agency nurses or one of the managers can cover shift remember they are Nurses as well. If you are in 1199 or NYSNA union you need to let them know asap.

Hi there . Wasn’t sure if you’re asking or telling me. This was for Lpn & anything mentioned under 10k I was probably referring to what was out of pocket expense after grant. & yes ADN programs are far more depending on the institution. My bridge ADN program costs as much as it did for my lpn.

i have a 5 year old with dysgenisis of the corpus hemospere as well as gdd, autism and cerebral palsy he also has seizures and had trouble with swallowing food as a baby and was on baby food for the longest as he couldn't digest food still at 5 we have to cut up his food so he can digest it properly everyday is a struggle and oerwhelming

Hi ! ❤️ I’m sorry to hear your baby is experiencing all of this as well. It’s been an overwhelming struggle for us too but I’m hoping over time these kids get better. My son too is receiving a pureed diet for the most part. He just had a swallow study done so he’s tolerating and swallowing a more mechanical ( mixed texture ) puree diet now. My son attends a school serving those with cerebral palsy & he’s receiving speech therapy along with his pt & ot. This will help your little one over time. ❤️ I know it’s a lot to take on day to day but we have a different kind of strength & love in us to keep pushing forward for our babies. You got this 🙏❤️

It depends on location and management. I loved working there bc I had a good relationship with the surgeons & my coworkers & I loved being in the OR. I just couldn’t deal w/ petty management ( once they found out I got another job due to COVID , my manager started acting different & it was just time for me to move on ). From what I heard , as I still keep in contact w/ my former coworkers & one of my best friends still works there ; they are revamping a lot of things , hiring more staff, paying more, providing better benefits including tuition reimbursement. Hopefully everything will go smooth for you & you like it. I can’t say I had a bad experience but end of day I needed something a bit more stable.
