I’m SO glad you’re back on KZfaq! I found your channel when you were just starting at Cornell and you were the first person I saw promoting low-impact, slow living and it changed my life!!

As a Taurean woman, space is important, both functional and aesthetically pleasing, bringing joy to our higher self. Decorative objects don't have to be expensive, but they should be of good quality and timeless. Handed-down or inherited objects are always preferable. Objects that appeal to all five senses are highly appreciated. Because appreciation is equal to meditative state for the taurus :D

As a Virgo rising, planning, moodboarding, and the notes app all hold a lot of meaning in my heart. Hope you enjoy this video of me creating a guide for myself to help implement mindful changes into my living space. Design is a personal thing, and the room where you lay your head to rest for the night should be thoughtfully considered. I'm a big advocate for making things yourself, shopping secondhand, and being intentional about your purchases, and I hope that comes through in this video. Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate you taking the time to be here. Love and peace to all. 🖤Erika

So happy to see another video! I recently learned how to knit via youtube and it's been amazing. I highly recommend getting into the craft. I made myself a balaclava and now i'm working on baby knits (figure they will take less yarn/time and also help me learn how to make basic things like sweaters without having to spend so much money)! I've been following a challenge set by a youtuber leena norms to do a no buy year- she calls it her year of make do- where she does not buy any new clothing and instead has to make or knit any new garments!
@thetwinsofheartsАй бұрын
thank you for the recommendation! I loved her year of make do video - so inspiring!! and so cool that you taught yourself how to knit. truly so empowering to make things with your own hands 🖤🖤

Erika!! You look so good with the new hair do :-) and I love the mirror in the background, as well as the light blue colour (?) of the walls. I really admire your clothing morale, and am also curious about the shift towards low-buy content and a new focus on what we already own. What a nice video, thank you <3 hugs

Aw thank you so much Ida🖤🖤 Max made the mirror! And I cannot take credit for the light blue walls but your opinion helps me love it more! You are such an inspiration for mending and making clothing/adornments, so it means a lot that you liked this video🥰 Hugs!!

Needed this I see so many influencers and content creators claiming to be sustainable but you’re one of the only people I know that actually walks the walk!! Love the idea of making more than you buy. Going to try that this year for sure!

Hello! Has anyone else been seeing so much content about a 75 day no-buy challenge going around? I've seen so many youtubers and tiktokers shift their content to "what I would've bought this month" or "styling clothes I never wear" or "current wish list items" etc... It got the little wheels in my brain turning about the current state of my relationship with clothing and my consumerist habits - that's what this video is about. When we first started to see the influencer community shift to "sustainable" fashion, hauls and consumerist content was still prevalent- they had just switched to mindless, copious thrifting, green washing, and shitty "thrift flips." I'm much more into this state of conscious consumption and I'm thrilled it seems to be reaching the masses. If you have any thoughts on this, personal anecdotes, criticisms, etc, I'd love to hear! Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate you taking the time to be here. Love and peace to all. 🖤Erika

Hi! I know you made this video 6 years ago, but I was wondering if you still use the bag and how it is holding up? I just bought a rekanken mini to use as a daily purse. It's very stiff and noisy (crackly, almost like actual plastic bottles haha). Zips are currently very hard to open with the stiff rain flaps. Can't decide whether to keep it or return it. Did yours soften over time? I would actually prefer the No.2 Black Kanken mini, which is what I was going to go for, but some people have said it turns brown in a few months, which I would hate. So I'm considering the rekanken in black as the re-kankens are supposed to keep their colour. How is your bag doing? 😊 thanks!
