The week these ads began I met Barbara in ANZ bank… she literally said “there is the phone, make a call to our head office….”,

Karen: "I want to speak to the manager." Barbara: "Go away."

It's weird feeling so nostalgic for an ad that I was too young at the time to even comprehend

When these ads came out I was an ANZ customer and I think they modelled Barbara off ALL of the staff at my local ANZ . . . Oh, the irony! (I was not an ANZ member for long ;-)

These are amusing adverts, the irony is ANZ is just like this, they are no different PLUS saying your the best compared to just 3 other competitors hardly warrants praise nor is it a triumph especially when the bank industry has dozens of competitors big and small.

These ads are great. Made me invest in ANZ just for the entertainment.
