It's double layered so technically it's on both sides :)

I would recommend wool because it'll keep you warmer and its stiffer :) if you want to use fleece you could try it but I'd add interfacing to the whole thing :)

If they are too tight you'd have to add fabric to it or patchwork then with another pair. If they're too big you can alter them like im showing in the video

Pro tip: make the scraps in a way that “puzzle pieces” into the flats needed to sew the pants, and you automatically have less scraps and save time. Also: another way to reduce waste is to”zero waste” sewing patterns, or to do things that are made of simple triangles and rectangles only. It’s why a LOT of historical clothing is actually very simple, patter piece wise. It makes the waste virtually nonexistent and it’s easier for the average person to make.

@@recreatefulchannel fair, everyone has different aesthetics and stuff. I use a LOT of batik and calico, so I keep my scraps sorted by color and pattern “category” (florals, tie die, geometric, stripes, etc) and make patchwork stuff like harem pants and omiyage bags with them.

This was such a great tutorial! I’m a very tall girl so i made them longer and I’m so glad that I actually have a pair of joggers that fit me 🤣…quick question, when i wear them the pockets seem to be very stretched open and because of this, they are unusable and look funny… is this because they are too small round the hips???

I'm not sure if the pattern without any measurements and drawn from a flat tank top will work for bigger chested girls 😅

A corset top doesn't usually curve in and out around the chest, that's the whole point really. Also, the fabric used here is stretchy, so if a tanktop fits without the tailored curves, so will this top, its just some added seams for the illusion :)

Yes it includes the seam allowance :) I take short cuts when sewing, that's why I don't pin them 😂
