About the fact that you don’t like black bags - maybe it’s too basic compared to your other gorgeous bag options. I have a black bag and it really works for me as it’s in a beautiful patent leather. Although the colour is basic (hence, very versatile), there’s still a focal point on the bag as it’s shiny. A regular black leather bag might just blend in and disappear in my daily basic outfits 😂

I wash all my Gaspard cardigans cold in the washing machine. Nothing is warped or worn out. I can also recommend the Othello. The pilling of all Sézane knitwear is kept to a minimum. Martin and Matheo trousers are great, as are Christie blazers.

Some rich people buy expensive bags but still think of them as unimportant and meaningless things. Just because you bought it doesn't mean you have to give it some artificial importance or false meaning *condup*

I am new to your channel and find that your tips and perspective add detail and analysis that others don’t talk about. A lot of content creators talk about silk in the summer but you’re so right. If a persons lifestyle does not allow time for hand washing and them drying flat and later steaming that piece, it’s just not realistic as a staple piece. Loving your content. Many thanks.

I use my *luxdups* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.

The Petits need to thread carefully the high and super-high raises, it’s flattering on the booty but on the front…not so much we seem to have the trousers on the boobs and aren’t comfortable when we bend or when we eat.

Love your brown woven sandals although I'd prefer a more platform less high sandal. I'm looking for brown shoes and an everyday brown summer bag so i can match my accessories and not just wear black all the time.

Excellent tips and your outfits are great. I don’t work in an office any more so it’s easier to dress casually in the summer. Footwear is always trickiest in summer for me. I’m in London and walk a lot so flimsy sandals just aren’t comfortable when you are doing 10000+ steps a day. Also in a dirty, busy city I like to have my foot a bit more protected, so finding cute, summery footwear that ticks those boxes is tricky. Espadrilles are usually my go-to. One summer accessory I like in summer, especially for travel, is a lightweight scarf or shawl. It’s good if you want to protect your shoulders from the sun, or if it gets a bit chilly. They can just be tied around your bag for a pop of color too.

Hi Helen, I would absolutely love a video about choosing good, comfy sandals for summer as a person who walks around everywhere such as yourself! I have very sensitive feet and I pretty much spend my summers either in sneakers or in pain. 🥲

Your knee-high boots are lovely but too wide around the calf, I have the same problem finding more fitted boots. These wide leg boots (probably designed to accommodate larger size women) don't look great on slim, petite ones, but I've found it very difficult to buy tighter fitting knee highs, the only alternative would seem to be those with a stretch panel at the back, but they look less elegant and less chic so not ideal either

Double-breasted coats, etc. widen a petite frame, so do wide sleeves, wide pants (especially cropped ones) - anything too horizontal

A belt can shorten you if it contrasts too much with the rest of your outfit, e.g. if it's too wide or in a very contrasting colour or if it has bright hardware (shiny metal belt, studs, etc.) It adds a horizontal band that can shorten your legs. I am a bit off belts at the moment as I like dressing very simply and at my age (58 years young) a belt can also look a bit too classic and ladylike, i.e. old. I have started to wea heels again and they can actually be more comfortable and healthier for your legs than very flat shoes, I have opted for 2-3 inch block heels or a discreet platform that is not in a bright or contrasting colour to the rest of the shoes/boots, I also prefer suede footwear (and a suede heel/platform) to leather or other materials, it looks more elegant imo
