Those were 5x4.5 wheels. I had new 5x4.5 lug pattern axles and redrilled drums to match. A decent machine shop will redrill axles and drums at a pretty affordable price as well.

13's? Our '71 Maverick does low 11's and sometimes high 10's. Modified 351w HO crate engine with Holley EFI, C6 transmission with 5000 rpm convertor, 4:57 Detroit Locker nine-inch rear differential and drag radial tires. It's a street legal car and when street driven, it has 3:70 gears Detroit Locker rear differential and 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels and Goodyear 215/70/R15 radial GT tires. The car has 4 wheels disc brakes from a '78 Lincoln Versailles and the Maverick power brakes booster.

Regular carb with big jets ? On e85 I’d like to know for my 67 mustang with a 331 stroker
@justins4d4 жыл бұрын
My vote is buy a legit E85 carb from an E85 expert just to make sure all the metering is correct during part throttle. I now run EFI and love it way more than a carb, but it is boosted and that's where EFI really shines.

nice truck man what brake booster are you running? I'm having trouble putting my Ford Racing valve covers on because it hits the booster. you still have this truck any progress?
@justins4d7 жыл бұрын
Annie Rains Thanks! No brake booster, it's manual brakes. I do have a late 70's master cylinder though because I custom fit disk brakes in the front, and needed a disk/drum master cylinder. Much progress has been made, the engine has been rebuilt and I made a twin turbo setup that will make 1,000 hp. New trans, new hidden fuel system, all but the bed is painted, new interior, ect. Should be on the road come spring.
