This was so beautifully done. This is one of my absolute favorite songs from Kendrick. Like every time it comes on I don’t skip it.

You are by no means reaching when you said Micheal and Drake have similarities because I promise right before you said that I was thinking to myself how eerie it is that MJ and Drake are parallel to each other when it comes to their success, their abuse of power, starting their careers in their adolescent years, their behavior when it comes to minors AND the abusive/absentee fathers.

All time favorite Kendrick Lamar song. From the first listen I was hooked to every beat every word deeply processing the song just in complete astonishment.. to this day I don’t think I’ve ever skipped that song if it came on. All time classic all around poetic true rap storytelling.

personally u and FEAR have hit me harder but yeah those first 3 verses are peak kendrick. didnt care much for the second half tho, its in the same vein as Real for being important to the story but not super memorable

It might sound weird but this is actually the song that really got me into listening. I remember just seeing the leak on my yt page when it was first discovered and starting to get into the lyrics more and more. Loved the execution which Kendrick used and starting listening to his discography more and more and Im currently getting into his Magnum Opus to Pimp a Butterfly. God thank this YT Algorithm.
