Steve, nice cards. Now i have to go dig mine out of a couple of cigar boxes and check them out. I sent some of them to get graded some time ago, I think I got my Orr's graded. Of course I remember Roberto!

Great video! Dan and I had a great time, it was crowded but the beauty of the National is it is a week long, if a table is crowded, move on to another one of the hundreds of tables and come back. I think you would have a great time with us, great experience!

The square cards are actually Sport Star Subjects not issued by Bond bread.

Hi. Thanks for the info. I was checking my Vintage Baseball Catalog and wasn’t sure about it. It does look like the example of a 1947 Bond Bread. Thanks for the help.

Hello Steve. I don't think that Kiner you showed was a Bond Bread issue. I have the Jackie Robinson with the square corners and both PSA/SGC wouldn't grade it. General Mangini wrote a great article on this set in his newsletter #12. He named it the Aarco Sports Stars set. I emailed SGC to see if they would grade my Robinson under this set name and was told SGC does not recognize this set and will not grade this card anymore, even though they were graded in the past. (but not decertified) If the General says it's legit, it's legit.

Excellent vid, Steve. Love the old mags. Those were in great shape. I have tons of Sport/SI/ Who's Who etc. They're fun to look through and see the ads and stories. There is a market for them, but they need to be graded (CGC) to get max $$. You may want to put the better copies in magazine bags with boards to preserve them.

Loved it. Just putting my HOF players in some kind of order so I've just looked at most of those cards. Great to see a few Fleer Williams cards. I have that set and it tells a nice story. Sounds was bad and pix were blurry on this vid. The Vintage Hockey Cards vid from a month ago was much better.

My first game was 1979 Yankees against the Brewers I could see Ben Ogilive. Walking in and seeing how big the stadium was incredible at age 9

Dave Parker, Steve Garvey, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Keith Hernanadez Lou Whitteker, are all close but not quite there.

These are all good players, but Imo do not belong in HOF. Just like I think Harold Baines doesn't belong in.
