Hey Richard Have you ever tested a Lunati stage 4 Black Magic cam on a 6.0L?

How come you are not doing this test on the ever popular LS1? A 5.7 l? It would be great if you could do one on that test so we can see how much power the 5.7 makes with the nice Cam and a huge exhaust. Like a kooks setup. There are thousands of us who own 5.7 LS1s we would love to see this test on our engine

I'm only here cuz I had a C4 rebuild and response and performance was noticeably worse after. I'm guessing it's a generic/low stall converter that's causing it 🤔

What is the suffix on the grind numbers for low shock cams. I had a custom cam made with this principal and no way of knowing if it's low shock

The video says cut the guide down but shows the spring pocket being cut. .020" is not close enough for me, and on a spring with a higher rate it can be quite a bit. One exception is correcting for a spring that has a bit more pressure at the seat and open height.

Im going from a 75mm to a 90mm on a 6.2 truck intake with a 90mm hole. I bet l feel and get more power. Dude does great videos...just not this time

Is this too much cam for a 468 with 9.2 CR? What carb would work best, a 950 DP?
@garysgarage.2841Ай бұрын
If your gonna run a turbo or blower that compression will be fine. Me personally I'd look for a cam with an earlier intake valve closure if I was planning on running it na.

Pretty impressed with power from the 1st cam, 210@050. True daily driver, smooth idle nobody would suspect. Could pull a tall gear or OD with ac on all day.

Nice but the will make more power at higher rpm? well not if compression has become too low from intake staying open too long.

Why do you produce faulty cams and lifters? Is it fun for you to destroy the flat tappet cams and engines of enthusiasts all over the world??? Dont distribute crappy parts make your own US made Lifters just like Delphi / GM did!

Fun stuff, I recently put in a sloppy stage 2 cam with a 625 carb, what would be a good base timing and total timing? I'm using a t350 with a 3000-stall converter. Thanks

Hope they are better than the Comp roller hyd lifters I bought. Were internally rusted and some of the internal plungers got jammed down upon install. At least Comp replaced the set free of charge and gave me a T-shirt.

Well That Explains Why I Couldn't Get My 108 LSA Camshaft. You Talked About Changing The Base Circle Of The Camshaft. Does That Mean All Camshafts Have Different Base Circles If The Lifts Are Different? My Current Cam Was A .34" Lobe Lift. New Cam Is A .32" Lobe Lift. Does That Mean My New Cam Has A Larger Base Circle And That I Need Shorter Pushrods? (this is a hydrolic roller cam engine with fixed rockers, preload is adjusted with pushrod length)

Comp.....do prospective buyers a favor and print or speak about alll the sidenotes necessary to run these things. TOo many guys buying them that are frigging clueless and wind up hating it not good for business. Why not push some of the grinds of brands you absorbed yrs ago that actually work?

Phenomenal lesson. Thank you kindly. The more I lean about valve springs the more I loose my confidence for swapping my springs in requirement to my Milwaukee 8 Fueling 508 cam. I found you because although I’m doing a Harley engine build, the parts and concepts are the same. I decided to leave the porting to the experts. But the shop I’m going with has .625 lift springs on their Pro Street Heads. Will I run into a Valve Spring Float scenario with my 508 lift cam? Very Respectfully, Dan “SKWID” ET1(SS/SW/MTS) US Navy, Ret.

LS1 with heads cam and intake will run 550hp. Throw in some dome pistons and you’ll grab another 20hp. If you’re losing 110hp getting to the tires, you got big problems.
