Do you find the use of the Olivia Garden brush when blow drying is better for your blowout in comparison to the comb attachment for the blow dryer? Or is there no difference?

FHI all the way. My hairdresser told me to stop using the Babybliss flat iron. I would use it almost everyday to refresh my curls and the damage caught up with me. My hair dresser recommended me to get the FHI flat iron, which is the same one she uses, and to stop using daily heat. (Which I knew I shouldn’t have and didn’t think it would catch up and it did😂). Lesson learned. I can definitely feel the difference in my hair and only use heat on my hair for wash day or if I’m going out. So much better now. 😅

Also, I use the Shea Moisture Deep conditioning mask when I’m wearing my hair curly but never straight. Do you find that it weighs your hair down or makes it greasy? I hesitate to use it for my silk presses because of how thick and buttery it is. Any tips on how you use it?

I literally watch all your silk press videos. I’m a straight natural who experienced excessive shedding 3 years into my journey and I’m working to getting my hair back thick again. Would love to know when in your wash routine do you use silicones versus butters. And when during the month? I was using mostly silicones but I think I need to change it up 😕 Anyway gorgeous hair and thank you for the the videos 💕

Any kind of bonnet with an elastic edge tears up my edges, too. I found some silk-lined sleeping caps on Amazon that have an adjustable strap in the inside of the edge. They're big enough that I just keep it on the loosest size and fold up the rim so nothing but silk is touching my edges. It's helped stop the breakage on the front of my hair.

Beautiful hair! Anyway help me understand 🤔 because I thought that the point of heat trained hair was that over time your hair would gradually loosen or even lose its curl and maintain straight when wet without heat damage, if done with care. You’ve been heat training for a year 😕 so I’m confused? I dunno 😅

I looked at your shorts but I didn’t see anything about when you blow dry and what you do with your hair. I’m very curious about how you leave your hair blowed dried for 4 weeks. Do you still wrap your hair up? Do you do it the same? How do you style it?
@RoxannaRenea
@RoxannaRenea 22 күн бұрын
Sorry about that my hair was lightly pressed in that shorts video. I only add moisturizer when I lightly silk press with the tymo ring or blow dry only. I follow that same routine in that shorts video when I blow dry only using the melanin leave in and mane choice hair butter. I will do a routine video in the next month or so on how I style and maintain blow dried hair!

I know you don’t use a lot of heat when you do your own hair but when you go to the salon do you ask them to turn the heat down or do you let them use it on the temp they want? My hair doesn’t require a lot of heat to straighten, around 370-410 but whenever I go to the salon they use 450 with a titanium iron. My ends are now straightened smh I am going to start asking them to turn it down. Everyone doesn’t need 450 degrees 😒
