Fantastic analysis of Gary's playing, thanks. People's personal tastes do vary, and I'm prepared to accept that some people might have something in mind that they enjoy more than this, but if someone could show me a performance that exploits the sheer electron-torturing, heart-rending ability of a guitar better than Gary then I'll prostrate myself at their feet. Until then Gary Moore is the one true guitar god. RIP, sir.

I have been extremely lucky to see Gary live so many times over the years, I lost count many years ago. From the Greg Lake tour and beyond. As Bob Daisley once said about Gary's playing, Jack of all trades, master of them all. I only wish I could have seen him with Lizzy and Colosseum II.

Yeah, I screwed that up. It is Roy Buchanan. Not sure why I said Roky Erikson, who is another guitarist that did a similar style.

Thank you for the reaction! That's exactly how I feel when I first heard him!! I do not even like his music genre but I was stunned by his sheer talent. I would never have believed I'd be convinced by the idea that there would be "A" best singer in the world since art is so object if I didn't hear him. but I guess it's his wheel house to make impossible possible...

Versailles is amazing, I really hope they will release more new songs. Meanwhile we have Kamijo's solo project, which I also love. It is a bit less heavy than Versailles but still has a lot of the same sound and his amazing vocals of course. Thank you for the reaction!

I'm a 37 year old Masters graduate in Audio Production, several music award winning and publishing/studio production business owner and music producer and will give all young people in audio school this advice. If youre not investing into your own gear, using it EVERYDAY to learn, and vibing with other young people who do different genres than you; then you are wasting your time and money. I guarantee that you will learn more from each other via collabing than you will from your professors. This applys to film students as well. Even if your gear is cheap, dont let it stop you from creating. As you will still be learning techniques with cheap gear rather than not creating because you feel you need better equipment. Dont waste time. I wish you all the best in achieving a great education and career if and when you graduate. Now go out there and be somebody lol. Best of luck!

It's a damn good cover played by the magician on guitar Gary Moore. However I still prefer the original by Roy Buchanan [also the live versions, he's an absolue master on the Telecaster], not as flashy but a lot more soul into the song.

It’s also one of my favorite live performances of Gary, but you should know, if it’s yours as well, that it’s a cover from a Roy Buchanan song and that this is from Montreaux in 1990, whilst his “Still got the Blues” Tour! Nevertheless it’s a superb performance of Gary, who made this song his own and shows all his versatility and genius. Just adore it and can’t get enough of it! RIP Gary!

Gary Moore my favorite guitar player. he had unique ability to play his live songs more interesting than in albums. Messiah, Loner, Empty rooms, separate ways, over the hills... God, I can keep on adding and adding. His passion to music was somуthing out of this earth. He шы guitar God. Oh, I forgot, shapes of things. Especially 1984 version. Really kicks ass.
