I love Falconer. Their sound is a typical folk and you can hear the Middle Ages and the beautiful voice of Mathias. Typical are their remakes of folk songs. It is a pity they have already ended up

9/8 time, i think you're looking for? (1+2+3+4++) It certainly makes for a good musical pun off the title! It's like ever since Gustav Host's "Mars", irregular time signatures have been favored for battle music in popular storytelling.

I eventually heard 7/8, but in all honesty he probably had 7/8, 9/8, and 5/8 within that composition… it was so jumpy but it never lost its musicality, so good! I can’t believe I was trying to say 7/9 🤦‍♂️, I was so caught up with trying to take in as much as I could and the idea that 7/9 was not a time signature completely slipped my mind lmao 🙄

Very on the nose and you are right on the money too. The harpies is an optional encounter in the game, so you can completely miss out on them as well as this song. During the combat encounter you can interrupt or silence whichever harpy that is currently singing. This causes the song to cease playing as well and it changes to a more urgent and desperate version of the motif.

Borislav likes building around very strong motifs. It makes his music have that instant “catchy” feel to it. Makes me think about the classic John Williams scores

I had relatives and even a music teacher who saw this show when it launched in the early eighties and they all said the same thing 'this was the show'. They said her voice was so powerful, it wrapped around your body, shook your soul and had the entire theater shaking like an earthquake was coming on. They said that people and children were crying, fainting, jumping up and down in the aisles. The applause and standing ovation lasted 10 to 15 minutes straight. They all say to this day, they have never seen or heard anything like it. This clip should be in the museums around the world as a masterpiece of theater excellence and theatrical history.

Now I want to make a playthrough centered just in the music, like bring down the soundeffects and the voices so the music is the main focus, so you don't have to play it yourself and just watch the parts where each song plays and why it goes so well with each scene. Well, guess I'l, have to play it again!

Thank you so much for reacting to more All for Metall, they are such a great band and the music video is alot of fun. They had many fans at this video recording, all people you see arround the Band are all fans that was invited to the recording. Sadly I had no time at this time and it was way to far away for me but the rest of the guys seems to had alot of fun making the video. Great reaction 🙂 that face you made when Tetzel peted his Hammer was very funny, so much great facial expressions in this one 😛 Glad you liked it so much 🙂

This song plays in some parts where you are exploring. What needs to be cured has indeed got to do with the mind flayers. They have placed a tadpole inside the eye of the hero party and they need to find a way to get rid of the parasites. Otherwise the tadpole will destroy the person's entire being and turn the body into another mind flayer. Since this game can take over a hundred hours to complete, everyone finds out that things aren't normal with these tadpoles and the hero party aren't transforming as quickly as they expected.

This is indeed a combat tune. It plays on quite a few battles in the game, but the first time it is played is during your first major fight. It plays again in the same spot, but the second time the stakes feel even higher. The combat music in Baldur's Gate 3 is also a bit dynamic. It switches up to more positive and triumphant parts when you get kills, to put you on the advantage and to less hopeful parts when things start to get dicey. Nine Blades works a bit in tandem with the song Sixteen Strikes as they both have similar parts that are altered a little bit from each other.

Glad you liked this song as well. Great 80s vibe. Whenever Arjen is involved the mixing is extremely well done. And as you said, the musicians support each other and do, what is best for the song and not what is best for their egos. Unlike Ayreon, with Plan Nine we only have Robert as lead singer, supported by the backing vocals of Irene Jansen and Jane Goulding. If you want to hear more from Robert, try Abbey of Synn from the Universe live show next. Arjen's side projects: Star One, Guilt Machine, The Gentle Storm, Ambeon, Stream of Passion. I still need to dig deeper into those.

The Mind Flayer isn't one specific character, but a species that is very nefarious in the DnD universe. They make people into slaves by stripping down their minds as well as eating peoples' brains for nourishment. At the start of the game you have been kidnapped by Mind Flayers and been placed on a flying ship operated by them, that can hop between planes and dimensions.

That was indeed so much fun! So much actually that I liked and subscribed! I am well acquainted with the original behind the scenes version from 2017 as well as the many reactions to it. What is stunning to me about this live version is that you can replace the vast majority of the original singers and still be true to the original. For somebody who is not a Dutch speaker, you did just fine with the Dutch names!

Everything abt that Ayreon concert was just magical: the staging & light show, the on stage sound mixing, the cast, the backing vocalists (best in the whole d@mn world, known as "Ayreon's Angels"), the chemistry with the internat. crowd (60+ countries!) and even the waiting in line outside, when the great Damian Wilson came to visit us. And then this little present to top it all.. This is what music heaven on earth feels like and we were there, live (& kicking!) beneath the waves 😉 Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘

Nobody in the audience expected this song to be played. Even with a different set of singers (only 3 of the album cast were present), every vocalist and musician just nailed it. Next up maybe The 6th Extinction from the same show, or Isis and Osiris from the Into the Electric Castle live show? Whatever Ayreon song you pick, you won't be disappointed. It is an almost 30 years long musical journey, and I love every part of it.

When it comes to Chris' vocals/growls complementing Jennifer's vocals, more often than not, it's a matter of Chris growling. But, there are times where Chris reigns it in and sings...and it works really well. A couple of examples to check out (yes, they are all acoustic...and, yes, they are all just Jennifer and Chris performing): Misery - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZtCFnqShsbLcYn0.html Heart of the Hurricane - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLB6atx7y7GcoH0.html Wounded Healer - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sMCGkpqhyrrMiZs.html Caveat: I'm a bit of a BtB fan. And by "bit", I mean that I've seen them perform 14 times...the first time in 2016 with a chunk of their original lineup...and most recently, a little over a week ago. And, yes, I am part of a small, but vocal group that wishes that they would tour here in the US...but, it's a bit of an expensive proposition. They performed in Japan in 2017...and in Australia/New Zealand in 2023...so, it's not out of the realm of possibility. It just needs to be the right situation.

The singers name is Jennifer Haben. I am not into harsh vocals at all, but here they just add and keep the song interesting. I absolutely love their acoustic versions because they don't let their songs mutate into ballads. Sady many great artists from Europe never make it across the pond. BTB deserve way more recognition. Glad you liked it.
