I have numbness and thingling in hands, later it extended to legs but without back pain. After doing exercises by my selfe, now I'm also in pain. This was my doctors advice, just do excercise,... But when you are hurt you can't exercise as you are healty. You need guidance from a proffesional! Next week starting with PT...

I avoided refused cervical surgery. Taking a lot of vitamins daily to help promote tissue repair. I went from loss of balance, barely walking, numbness in arms and legs, neck paid to now having no pain and fully functioning again. I’ve been wearing a neck brace religiously and only doing moderate physical activity

Thank you. That was so very helpful. I am 77 yrs old and I have to tape myself. My shoulder is so painful that I can't sleep. Watching the other videos with someone doing the taping for a person was confusing and I was thinking that there was no way I could tape my own shoulder. I felt dismayed, but you made it so easy I really think I can do it myself. What a relief! Thank you so very much.

How can you possibly understand if you are damaging the facet joints with micro-traumas by doing this? The force required to to damage the synovial joints, is not much.

Suffering a spasm right now. I’d add one thing to the laying on your stomach position: my hips are rotated and my lower abdominals are also tight, so I work on trying to rotate my hips back to the normal position and press my lower abdomen into the ground.

- **Title**: "Releasing Scar Tissue & Myofascial Release" - **Speaker**: Dr. Joshua Goda, Chiropractor and Soft Tissue Specialist - **Main Points**: - **Introduction to Scar Tissue**: - Explains scar tissue formation, its haphazard alignment post-injury, and the subsequent impacts on body function. - Details how misaligned healing (checkered pattern) prevents smooth muscle movement, leading to pain and dysfunction. - **Nature and Effects of Scar Tissue**: - Scar tissue is avascular (lacks blood supply), complicating healing and reducing blood flow to affected muscles. - Discusses scenarios where scar tissue can be beneficial (acting as scaffolding) versus problematic (causing pain and impairing function). - **Scar Tissue Types**: - Functional: Helps stabilize deeper, less vascular structures like ligaments. - Non-functional: Causes problems and pain by interfering with muscle, nerve, and vascular function. - **Treatment and Importance of Understanding Scar Tissue**: - Emphasizes the importance of muscles sliding and gliding smoothly to reduce friction and pain, enhancing joint lubrication. - Highlights soft tissue release and mobility training as critical for improving functionality and reducing pain. - **Therapeutic Techniques**: - Active Release Technique (ART) and Graston Technique (scraping) are favored for promoting muscle mobility and reducing adhesions. - Advocates for combining these techniques with mobility exercises to encourage proper alignment and healing. - **Role of Rehabilitation**: - Stresses the necessity of rehab and mobility training to strengthen tissues, improve blood flow, and accelerate healing. - Explains how continuous tearing and healing of tissues during exercises can help realign them correctly. - **Personal Experience and Patient Benefits**: - Shares successes in preventing surgeries and reducing pain through regular treatments. - Encourages frequent therapy sessions to speed up recovery and reduce pain, allowing quicker return to normal activities. - **Conclusion and Invitation**: - Affirms the effectiveness of soft tissue and scar tissue therapies in enhancing mobility and overall well-being. - Offers help and invites questions, aiming to assist those in need of myofascial release and scar tissue therapy.

Just had an ultrasound and have chronic tendinosis of gluteus minimus and medius, and Tender GTPS in right hip. The pain is severe+++. Taking ibuprofen for pain but can't keep taking that all the time. Collagen loss is common in hypothyroidism and I have that, so am thinking this is where it's coming from. I read that eating collagen isn't effective. What do you recommend please? I'm really struggling to cope with the pain.

Hi , thanks for video, can centralisation cause more paon lower back. The pain isn't bad in my leg anymore, but the lower back is really painful. Thanks
@DrJoshJagoda
@DrJoshJagoda 17 күн бұрын
Yes centralization often causes more intense pain locally. As I mentioned, you want the pain to go back to the "Source." This is where you may feel like you are not improving but this often is a good sign you are improving.

i do muay thai, after sparring i was sore but it took a day or two to really start feeling my rib. i got x-rays done thinking it was a fracture. they said it must just be bruised. i went home and tried to massage it and i felt something click. currently unsure what to do. just hoping it’ll heal up and be fine.

If you have an ACL Tear, you'll need to get an orthopedic surgeon to give some recommendations and a good rehab professional! This is likely NOT an exercise that you should do.

Hi i have this constant tingling sensation in my inner thigh area which is very uncomfortable and when i do the first exercise i feel pain in my groin area. Does this mean this tingling or numb feeling is muscle related and not nerve related. btw i have had this tingling sensation for a month and a half now because i had an injury playing soccer where i kicked the ball hard before warming up.
