How did you find the condition of the road to the camp site, can I take my on road caravan there and what distance is the dirt road? Thank you.
@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore2 күн бұрын
The actual road to the camp site is very short. About 500m but you need to drive very very slowly as it is heavily corrugated with some humps. I would take mine if it was on road only. It is totally worth it once you are in the camp. Enjoy!

We so enjoy your videos and have watched many - Namibia/Etosha/Kgalagadi and Kruger over your years of travelling. We are elderly and also passionate about the bush and have been visiting Kruger for over 30 plus years. This year December we will be doing our first visit to Kgalagadi and are beyond excited. Unfortunately December is the only time of year we can go. We dont camp any longer, but looking at your setup makes us long for the old days when we did camp. Thank you both for giving us endless hours of entertainment. (We are currently "with you" at Tsendse, 2021 A Taste of Kruger"

Dear Rose, thanks for trip-sharing and info-sharing. It all looked great once again. You mentioned an early return due to a Kurumna issue. Can you elaborate? Was it extra unsafe? Did you adjust your drive back? Also, it's unfortunate to hear about Mabua and the lions. I've read about it; not pleasant. In three weeks, we're off to Kgalagdi, October Kruger, Februarie, Khutse NP, and Kgalagadi Botswana side. Then, September, three weeks in the Mara triangle to catch the great migration.

@@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore I grew up on the South Coast amongst plenty of snakes . We have been to most of the National parks and have seen snakes in all of them , our last stay in one , was Bontebok and sitting on our veranda, right in front of us , out of the beautiful manicured lawn two massive cobras appeared . The gold one sped off down to the river and the other , olive one , withdrew his periscope head in a hurry and I kid you not , a puff adder appeared at some speed for a puff adder , and crossed right in front of us ! We had two further sightings on our short stay 😳
@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore5 ай бұрын
Wow we are lucky then. We have had quite a few cobras and puff adders in the Kgalagadi, but never in any other camps. In Botswana we have had a couple but not even in Kruger. 😅
