The school in a small town about 30 minutes away from where I live bought a surplus p51 Mustang plane sometime around the 50’s. They bought it to work on in the shop class. Long story short they threw all parts and pieces of the plane into a big pit by the school in the 60’s once they were done with it. Then they filled the entire pit with concrete. The plane is still there to this day.

You see, boys and girls, you want to plant your seed dozers in spring and harvest them in fall to get nice big fresh crawlers, also you need to fertilize them more often for bigger ones

I'm a John Deere guy. This IH is really effing cool!! Love the patina!! Looks like the D7s I'm familiar with when I was an Army Engineer! Yes, I saw the first "recovery" video. Wow! It purrs like a kitten! Great to see it running! When I saw it pulled from the swamp I honestly thought it was gonna be parted out! Fantastic work, you guys!! Special thanks to donators and volunteers!!

I can't believe you did't have to do 100% tear down. Steering clutches were ok ?

this surely must be one of the most remarkable recovery and ‘resurrection’ stories EVER⁉️ EXTRAORDINARY well done ‼️‼️ 👊🔥

Just curious why you didn’t load it with the blade to the rear up over the trailer axles? It would seem safer for both seeing the rear of the trailer and the blade would be up out of traffic as well as transferring it’s weight more to the rear

How did you guys attach the damn cables under the ice and mud?!? Who volunteered for that??
@ducksp640510 ай бұрын
Vince from Jim's towing is a certified driver. He went down in the summer and attached lines. The blue barrel you see in the video is the float that was attached to the lines. We broke the ice with the excavator, pulled up the lines, and attached them to the winch truck.

I was a heavy equipment operator in the Seabees 78-83. We had TD 9s, TD 20s and a few TD 25s. But luckily they weren't cable machines.

Id imagining if you had to go out of pocket for everything it would probably cost more to get it out and trailered than it's worth even restored. Especially after the excavator man gave it a few bucket kisses 🤣

Good to see the dozer running again after all those decades lost deep in a swamp! Salute to all involved finding, recovering and restoring this legendary machine! I think there are the makings of a movie here with some interesting characters, throw in a ghost and a family mystery revealed!

As of now it's all the farther we are. The guy who's been doing the majority of the work had some major surgeries it was out of commission for quite a while. Work will be started again this summer. Keep an eye out for more videos.

Hi I was wondering if you guys planned on bringing this to the pioneer days event this year? I know that's a ways out so if you don't know its no big deal. My dad heard stories about this for a long time from his friends in northern Minnesota and I would like to bring him over to see it if you are at the event. Thanks

It will be at the show this coming weekend, August 13th and 14th. Hope you can attend.
