I got my first "Lawsuite" Takamine 12 string guitar in around 1979. I still play it today. You may wanna check my channel where I first repaired a broken Takamine and then woodburned onto it.

Well, I play 6 - 8 hours every day, but well, I have only 1 Guitar. Why? Well ask the guys of my Generation, ask Steve here, they will tell you: _It's never enough._ What they don't have on the paper is, that exactly this over the top consume, which triggers Climate change. Think about it, first you have to produce all that stuff, right? And how you do that? Right you burn oil and gas, to energize all these factories, which doing that producing step, oh steps, yes, you have to transport it to the shop ... and I know, it's not a bad intention, but I realized that 30 years ago ... you could have that on the paper already to the beginning of mid 1980/1990 ....

It is so fitting to have James Raymond on piano. What a history finding out that David was his biological father when James was in his 30’s. ❤

In 2003 on my way to Loretta Lynns ranch , I bought 2 guitars in Memphis at Yarborough's. A Taylor 314 and a Takemine SL 281. I sold the Taylor and still have my baby . The Takemine plays and sounds awesome .

Like they say in Achem, Fachum. I love the American PRS's . A 10 top is a beautiful guitar. Great example of bookend maple top on Mohagany. Stunning! When PRS started expanding to amps and other gear may have been a turn off to some.

That's what I'm interested in getting! Justin Johnson used an antique white 24 with two humbucking pickups on his new recording, because his Gibson Flying V had an input jack or switch problem. After seeing that I looked into it, and the SE versions have stainless steel frets and nitro finishes - the cost is very reasonable for what you get.

@@pharmerdavid1432 My SE Standard is a 2020 edition. I'm not sure about the stainless steel frets or nitro finish. I had understood that the frets very hard but not SS - but they are very very nicely polished. And I think it has a gloss finish - which really brings out the grain in the mahogany. It would be interesting if SS and nitro are available now.

@@stevepostell The 5-way rotary pickup switch has its own character also. Check the wiring diagram. Do you dislike 24 frets for the mathematical reason? The custom 24 fits so comfortable to your body. Thanks for answering me. I will subscribe. I don't subscribe to much. Have yourself a nice day.

Noel Gallagher wrote and recorded "Wonderwall" on a Takamine. All these years I thought he used a Antoria copy of a Gibson Jumbo Acoustic but recently I found out it was a Takmine FP 460SC. That acoustic guitar on "Wonderwall" sounds so good. Takamines sound great.

I have the Glenn Frey model that I bought used for $1k. Usually poly acoustic guitars don't always sound good, but I'll put my Takamine up against a d28 or 35 any day of the week and it'll hold its own. I've had it about 8 years now and I haven't once plugged it in. Used only acoustically and it just sounds amazing with a great neck that isn't thin to me. The poly finish is quite thin too, feels somewhat like a nitro finish, certainly sounds like it.

Steve, this video is up to almost 600 views and I think 100 of them might be mine. I love the work you do with the immediate family and studio gigs with other musicians, but your acoustic stuff blows me away. I’ve been a performing guitarist for almost 60 years. Never much of a Gibson acoustic guy, but your love story Gibby is one incredible instrument.

Thank you so much for playing the clean sound. I quit listening to a guitar review if there are pedals on. Can't hear the guitar. Of course adding effects is great but not when comparing true sound
