I came here to see if you mentioned treatment for cerebral edema .My mom has ,but some nurse & doctor told my sister that they don't use magnesium sulphate iv much anymore because of heart issue concerns .💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

I had some dental work done and still in horrible pain. I took an iibuprofen 800 at noon. It's now almost 9 pm. How soon can I take it? CVS acted like I would die if i took it before 10. But the pain is so bad 😢😢

Ace angioedema is not responsive to Benadryl and Epi because it’s not an IgE reaction. It’s bradykinin.

CHF vs. COPD: If you come across a patient with a history of CHF and COPD but showing no classic signs of CHF, and the patient reports chest tightness without wheezing on auscultation, would you treat the chest tightness as the patient's difficulty in breathing with albuterol, or what would be your course of treatment?

CPAP doesn’t push fluid out of the lungs. It tents open the alveoli which allows more surface area for gas exchange to take place.

​@@mrobsolete530x4 PEEP absolutely pushes fluid back into the capillaries. (Out of the air space). Saying "out of the lungs" is maybe a little too elementary. At the same time, does maintain open alveoli. Plenty of good literature on it.

Older guidelines recommended 2-10mcg/min. Titrating to the effect that you're looking for. It's not uncommon to now see 0.5mcg/kg/min.

Would also apply to Verapamil, but no one uses it anymore for some reason. Like norepi, it has an unfair bad rep
