Q. How do you guys get round the issue of improvised attacks. In the wargear book it mentions under the blades and saws section that having a blade or saw avoids the -1 penalty for improvised attacks. However, in the rule book there is no mention of improvised attack penalties. This would mean that depending on what book you are looking at IG troopers are either subject to the -1 improvised attack modifier or not. Do you ever recall this being clarified under any Q&A? I suppose a work around could be to say either the first fumble is doubled or the first critical hit is ignored! Interested to hear your thoughts!

Great to see you guys doing some epic, can’t wait for the battle report! FYI contrast paint works fantastically well for epic scale models, white undercoat and slap it on! I 3d printed a Nid army and painted it all in a week using contrasts.

lol youre armies are always so interesting and diverse. i love that mose of the models are 2nd ed too. would love to see u use only 2nd ed models. also please put some transfers on the minis. that dark angels army looks so great but would be perfect with transfers! keep up the content guys. loving it!

I'm really confused by the "overwatch" type shooting rules for sweeping advance you use in the video. As I recall from playing 3rd edition, and checking my copy of the rulebook, you shoot into a sweeping advance unit during your shooting phase, its basically as if the unit isn't in close combat. "can be fired at before the next assault phase is fought" on page 69 of the 3rd ed rule book. It never refers to the shooting being done except within the shooting phase.

Super battle chaps. Marines vs marines always goes quick. My terminators never leave home without a cyclone launcher.

You probably already found it but in regards to the auto-launchers, on p20 of the wargear book for 2nd ed it says "The first grenade in the spread automatically hits a point exactly 6" away in the auto-launcher's forward 90º fire arc. The other two grenades deviate D3" away from the target point of the first grenade."

The Italian Army was really being used as a colonial police force and lacked modernization since being put in place in the 1930s. Another example of state controlled production not able to keep up with reality on the ground.

Why are the troops getting a wady bonus, when both are in the wady? Shouldn't they cancel out in that the shooter and the target are on the same terrain level?

What did I say? Easy game to learn. Fun game. A lot of tactics involved. I would still say that if a model is RIGHT UP AGAINST THE TERRAIN then he can get a clear shot on one in the open. You should try out other factions to see what suits you. I have 7 I think....
