Wish I could upgrade to 8.0. Struck with 6.5 as your 8.0 installation has a known bug... "This app package's publisher certificate could not be verified." Hope it gets fixed soon. Been waiting for more than a month for the fix. Thank you

Unfortunately, 4 years after you posted this, it appears that "Horror Movies" is no longer a category you can turn off. Looks like i will be disabling all "Movies & Films." I watch videos on KZfaq with my kids. I can't belive that Google isn't smart enough to not show adult content advertising during kid's content videos, even if i am using an adult's account.

I’m glad I’m not the only one!!! Movies about demons/possession and stuff freak me out the most. I was actually legitimately traumatized by the first exorcist movie as a child (like clinically. My brother and cousins locked me in a dark room with that movie on and took away the remote when I was like 11 or 12 and after that I slept in my parents room, or my mom slept with me in mine until I was 16…I’ve talked about it in therapy and even still to this day at 31 I have nightmares about it. if I ever see a still photo from that movie I have like a panic response. I know that may sound dramatic, but that movie and any movie with demon voices/activity I just can’t handle). So imagine my dismay when I finally thought I was moving past it and the new one comes out shoving the trailer down my throat on KZfaq. I love KZfaq and love watching other film genre reviews.. but to me having horror movie trailers constantly is just cruel! Even to people with sensory/loud noise issues, children, etc.

I HATE google. I've tried everything, given in to settings that I normally wouldn't want on just to avoid certain ads & it's made NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever. Now when you type this into f command, there's no option to opt out of horror. I feel the same as you when suddenly out of nowhere the exorcist face & a loud scream is thrust upon me. My adrenaline is like a sledgehammer to the brain instantly & it's so INVASIVE! F--k them for leaving no choice anymore. I'm headed to Rumble. KZfaq willfully has made terrible choices in the last couple of years. They may as well be lobbyists at this point for the B admin.

I went to do this but horror films don’t show up when I want to disable them. It also shows me my recent ads and the horror movie ad I just got 3 times in a row doesn’t show up in my recently viewed ads and it’s making me so angry. How can I disable them???

Actually the Gif format is pretty old, 1987 from the US-Company CompuServe. I personally know it from Photoshop since the year 2000

Nice work. For the next update, a blur shape would be very handy to hide confidential data.

That is something we are working on! We're not sure if it'll be a blur, though. Blurring videos reliably is surprisingly more complex than it seems to be. Instead of that, we may provide rectangular solid-color stickers, but the redact feature is definitely on the way!

@@product-ux I’m obviously not sure about your stack, but if it’s Electron consider remotion. CSS absolutely positioned div with backdrop filter: blur. Thanks for all of the hard work!

We appreciate engaged users like you <3 Although we would love to use you tip, we have to re-render all videos with any changes, which we do using ffmpeg. Unfortunately, sometimes there are communication issues during this process, but we are working hard to resolve them.

Question: so when you split a clip, multiple times in a completed video, it seems this creates individual clips saved in your collection, right? What about the clips you want to split and delete? Can you do both at the same time so you end up with just one completed video vs the multi saved like I saw when I tried? I'm sure you have more training content. on this new feature I will look out for as well. Overall so glad to have this (also used to iMovie, etc) so nice to have all in one.

Hi Lisa! Thanks for the questions! The split feature doesn't create a new item or items. It just removes the specific part (time range) of the video from the original file. However, we're working on a "duplicate item" feature, that would allow you to create multiply variants of the same item 🤩It's coming soon!
