Hi David. Thank you so much for the informative video. I downloaded the script from the link you shared in the comments. I installed OpenNest, but there are still missing functions. Which other plugins do I need to install? Thank you in advance!

Scripts are free as soon as I post the video until the end of that week. This week there are 2 new scripts available there. You can download those for free. All the other script are also available at the script store, or Vault membership.

Do you have a tutorial for the process of applying a construction system like this to different volumes?
@DCOParametric9 күн бұрын
I have a few other videos with different forms, like this one. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMeFqtxm2JrSZac.html . If you search my videos by "building" you can see a few other concepts.

amazing tutorial, is there any way to group by color to do Bake
@DCOParametric9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the kind comment! I here is a neat trick to select by color. You can rick click on the custompreview component and bake it. If you then change your viewport to rendered, you will see the colors baked into the geometry. You can then go to the materials tab in rhino, and you can right click on any material and select objects by the color. This is one way to do it non parametrically. You can also do this parametrically, by selecting the same area number. If you haver further questions, send me a direct email copetedavid.com

this is awesome, the more we can "automate" or "fast forward" less creative focused tasks at our practice, the more time we can dedicate to the real meaningful stuff, this is what parametric design is all about

💯!! Thanks for the comment, I definitely agree with you. parametric tools are definitely the next step to move forward the practice of architecture.

How do you create the item to export into STL?
@DCOParametric16 күн бұрын
You can bake the output, and once it's in the rhino viewport you can export it as STL, or turn it into a mesh and export as stl

Is it possible to create a grasshopper (or other, like visualarq perhaps) window of wood frame constructions wherein you specific every detail including the window style, depth/height/width, muntins, casing, trim/crowns on the inside and different for exterior, sill stool etc And then ability to generate accurate live section details from it WITH dimensions and notes? I know, it’s a lot, but this would be immensely valuable. Is it possible? What would it take to create a script (?) that would allow me to make such detailed window models?
