wow very very useful. thank so much. I'd like to know where is the ''layer mask'' in krita. I mean, hiding and showing pixel with black and white respectively
@sergio_tellez
@sergio_tellez Ай бұрын
Hi. The little arrow in the plus button of the layer docker is a dropdown menu with all the layer types you can use in krita. You can find the transparency mask there. My last video was about that, check it out for more info. Cheers.

i need help here pls someone answer this so on of some of my layer my lock alpha icon turn into a wall of brick icon and my brush just not working it tht layer it laggy my the color just not show up
@sergio_tellez
@sergio_tellez 2 ай бұрын
Hi John. That happens because the layer you're using is a group layer. You cannot paint in a group layer, they are only meant to contain other layers but not paint on them. If you want to paint something in that group, you need to create a new paint layer within that group. Now, that wall of bricks icon is a new funtion of group layers called 'pass through'. This function changes the behavior of the layers within the group, making then behave in the layer stack as if they weren't in a group. Pass through is useful if you have filter layers, fill layers, layers with different blending modes, etc, and you want to apply those effects to the layers outside the group too. I hope that helps. Cheers.

Hi! if you are still having trouble I suggest you to go to the Krita artists website (krita-artists.org). You can upload your questions there, with screenshots and all. Is not that I don't want to help, but understan whats happening here in the comments section can be tricky. And there are lots of artist there ready to help you with anything! Cheers.

I really liked how you explain things, however I do feel like you got a little fast for me in some areas, and was hard to keep track of when you would draw and click certain things that seemed to take away from what you were explaining. Is it possible for you to do a more step by step process, beginning with layer one, background and then when to add the next layer? Drawing perspective has always been difficult for me and speeding through confuses me.
