You ain't seen nuthin"! I attached 16' boards to my second story porch roof, allowing 8' to overhang the roof and ending a foot from the tree. I then "walked the plank" over to the palm tree and trimmed it while standing on the end of the plank. It was the fastest I've ever trimmed it because I was easily able to reach where I needed. It was no more scary or dangerous than a ladder since I did use a safety belt. It was only scary when I looked down!

I don’t like the religious aspect of it. But it’s better to not use fossil fuels. How that should function though, in our extraction economy, I don’t know. I remember how happy the touch of animals made me as a child. You don’t know neither of yourself nor of anything else no more, you cease to exist, and nothing else matters, all tears are wiped from your soul. I hope when I get to heaven I will meet my herd of black pied cattle, wear shorts and yellow wellingtons and bring them out to the meadow in the thawed on early morning grass.

Which breed of horses is that?

A spectacle to see, but the practicalities don't compute. No horse farmer I know has 12 horses, and 6 flunkies to walk alongside, just to pull a 4 bottom plow. Drop 2 bottoms and you can drop the horses by more than half which one farmer can muster fairly readily, and one man can do the work. I suppose if several neighbouring farmers wanted to pool horses just to low this way it would work. I have horses and use them, but this scale is pretty unrealistic. Seems like more of a pissing contest as to who can have the biggest hitch. So my 2 furrow plow takes twice as long to plow the same acres, but the overhead is half in terms of HP, harness, manpower, feed, etc.
