A few things: 1. Andrew gets a pass for pretty much anything. Why? Because he saved your ceiling and he's adorable. 2. Bedroom lamps- I have to wonder if either of you read in bed. That tiny thing looks useless to me for reading. I liked the mushroom shaped lamps better. 3. In a lot of design books, articles and videos, we're told that matchy matchy isn't necessary. Two similar but unmatched lamps could be good. 4. I know you like your colors but does Andrew get a say in any of the designs or colors? I'm 73, been married to a cowboy for 41 yrs and I might not be thrilled with cowboy stuff but it makes him happy so he gets the living room and part of the den for his stuff. I get the rest of the house. :)

Can you switch around the doors on the cabinet? Like have the green doors side by side, but the blues with them, break up the red from these two hues with the black. I wonder if the color with less of the contrast for the eye of having the colors side by side would make the piece feel softer to you?
