So for fusing glass same temp and process? I have some scrap fusing glass to turn into frit and currently using a very tedious process and this looks so much easier.

Not really sure why you would go thru this whole process. First of all, the frit in the video is not fusable ....you don't know what CEO it is. Secondly, I just put glass in a baggie and smash it with a hammer....and I used fusable glass to use in other art work.

Your glass work is beautiful but framing it behind glass picture frame makes it lose all it's texture and depth.

Lots of sour Sally’s in this thread. Give him a break, do you tell the guys driving 75mph on a freeway with tons of flammable fuel in the haul of their truck that their profession is dangerous?? Didn’t think so, the point was to give everyone a new idea, cheaper and fun. But apparently most who viewed have never even held a torch in their hand or a hammer and nail 😂 Good video thanks for the idea. PS- It’s just an idea if you don’t feel comfortable doing it well…. Just don’t! Imagine what sone people go through to make your steel car parts in foreign countries with molten metals and nothing but a t shirt and shorts with flippers. Point is, they understand what they are doing and respect the risk.

I just love this bowl. Thank you for posting this. Do you have any tips on how to make it look better post-grind? I took off the points with a dremel but now have a dull finish there. I would imagine a fire polish would ruin the piece because it would be too hot.
@CristinaSchnellboegl
@CristinaSchnellboegl 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can’t do a fire polish after slumping. A lap grinder could help, to polish the edge

1:34 in video 1435 degrees F is fusing temperature. I would think 500 to 700 would be plenty of heat.
