Santa Luzia was such a great respite for us after a brutal, rainy, cold day. The showers were exquisite and we were able to do laundry and get everything (except my wife’s shoes) dry. Sorry to hear you got food poisoning. Yikes.

Wow. Looks just like our Camino Portuguese in 2019. Rain. Rain. Rain. Way to stick it out. We finally bought ponchos in Esposende. They made a huge difference but my poor wife’s shoes never dried and her feet were a mess when we arrived in Santiago. She actually threw her shoes in the trash when we departed. Bom Camino!!!

That's a good suggestion, thanks! On day 6 we stayed at the Arca Nova Guest House & Hostel in Caminha. It's a great place that has both options - sleeping beds with a shared bathroom and also private rooms with a private bathroom. The owners are very nice, the place is very clean and it also includes breakfast. 😊

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful hike! Just subscribed! I tried to make a reservation to the Rocky Mountain National Park but it’s all booked. Do you know if we can still access the park if we go before 5am without a parking pass?
