Correct, its a 2005 model. Its "new" to my flying club however, we have 2 other C182's. I've flown the NXi versions, those are nice and they boot up real quick with nice displays and the ESP safety features.

Not sure exactly, this was my friends plane. Its on display at the Pima air museum, I'm sure the data sheet tells what it has. Its was a fairly sporty performance wise.

same. Now have had a Bosch dw for about 15 years, love it.Has a 30 min express wash so I can do multiple loads after a big party, quite enough to run without disturbing a conversation. I joke with my wife that it’s ‘my favourite appliance’. And it is.

Nice Byrd! I got the fly Cessna 182 with a G 1001 time. I was completely overwhelmed coming from a Legacy 172 with a six pack. I was surprised, however, how easy it was to fly and land!
@jasongarde8030

Thanks, it flies well. I trained on the round gauges so I know how you feel, big change to go to glass. G1000 PC simulator helped me a lot to navigate all the pages and capabilities of the system. Like you I found it to be easy to land, as 172 are notorious floaters where the 600# heavier 182's with 3 blade prop seems to slow down for me so more predictable landing. Some of my best landings have been in 182's.

May I ask how you got/did the overhead panel?
@jasongarde8030
@jasongarde8030 9 ай бұрын
I believe that was from www.sim-avionics.com/index.html I'll have to check to be sure but I believe it was from a Canadian company. Hard to see in the video, but the center post is what holds the overhead panel, pretty sturdy metal beam.

Now justa minute here! Your video's title and every inch of this wondrous video IS my long, long, hardest won, deepest-held idea of self-chosen heaven on earth for myself and YOU sir, random Piper skipper, youtuber maestro put it (somehow) into words, pictures, sound for me AND lived it too. "Just goin' inta Sedona fer breakfast, . . ." (Watch yer coffee intake fer return flight) Bon appetite and happy landings. Thanks for sharing, man. 😊😊😊😊

Ha yeah thanks, I don't take it for granted that a short 40 minute flight I can be in such a nice scenic place like Sedona, never gets old. The C182 is in the shop a bad cylinder so had to settle for the Archer, but its a nice flying bird. Payson isn't bad either, good restaurant on the field there too. Check density altitude in the summer, Sedona was over 7000 ft already!

@@jasongarde8030 Unless yur carryin' full fuel and 3 other guys, you'll be fine. Thanks fer responding. I had 1/2 fuel tanks and 3 other adults at the foot of Mt. Shasta/Mono Lake, CA. First flight in the mountains after learning ta fly at sea level in the Navy. Had the presence of mind ta do short/high field takeoff and the old rental 172 was shakin' like crazy; me standin' on the brakes, engine roaring, dust and gravel shootin' behind - 'til I thought she wuz revved up full; everybody lookin' at me; first time I realized they all trusted their lives to me and didn't know me that well. When we cleared the runway, we were at about 15 feet of altitude and it took me 20 minutes to climb as I slowly circled over the lake until I could safely reach depart altitude, . . . Density altitude . . .

@@jasongarde8030 Regarding the bad cylinder in the shop and down time. Ya gotta feel great too that ya didn't "learn the hard way" about that cylinder, the only other alternative to your systemic and dutiful conscientious scrutiny! THAT's what I meant in the essential, distinct and true difference of the pilot life, the world of aviation and flying lifestyle, a delightful by-product, if you will, in learning to fly coming with every pilot's consciousness/awareness that seems to develop in pilots by necessity and the very telling trait instructor pilots go to the lengths that they do to develop well and fast enuf in their students in training - the tricks and humorous stories are also legendary in this regard about THE pilot experience - that is, means and shows exactly and always one's minimal capacity or capability to fly when present; the difference between "bein' rusty" versus well-practiced/planned/prepared/never fails. Dare I say it? . . . the Right Stuff hasta be in all pilots and few, if any are just "naturals" cuz it ain't natural fer humans ta fly t'all.
