Marion Bartoli would have butchered Steffi Graf. Marion Bartoli is a better Tennis player than Steffi Graf.

90% of these clips are from late in her career- past he prime- didn't see anything from her near invincible years- 82-86 (losses 82-3, 83-1, 84-2, 85- 5, 86-3)

Greatest volley EVER- male or female! 167 singles titles and 178 doubles- two numbers that will NEVER be touched! (Federer 103 singles, 8 doubles. Serena- 73 singles and 23 doubles). Martina's THE GOAT!!!!! Slams weren't the be all/end all until the late 80s when she was past her prime. she skipped about 6 Australians early in her career, when it was played on grass and 5 times at end of career. She skipped the French 10 times. World Team Tennis was played during the French back in the late 70s- even Chris Evert skipped it 3 times then... WTT was more important to the game than the French was then- players signed big dollar contracts like all the other sports to play it. Both Chris and Martina could have 4-6 more majors each- easily if they they were on level they are today.

Martina was better than all of them... I heard ATP and WTA players doing a "Who's shot would you like...' forehand, backhand, etc. when they got to volleys- even several of the men said they wanted Martina's

Many of everts lobs were too short because she wasn’t in position to hit passes . Desperation lobs watching Margaret with 4 foot arms tall Amazonian charging the net like a buffalo. Up a set and serving for match at 5-3 Chris relaxed and being in her first of 34 slam finals made a rookie mistake . She never did again . Closest time was first set in 84 W final vs Martina but Martina aced her twice on the only two points that would’ve helped her win first set. Other time was 84 open losing the chance to pull up even I. Second set after winning the first set. Any player who plays the game has had losses that keep them up at might. It’s a game after all . Evert won 90 percent of all her matches . Played 34 slam finals and did so not playing the AO ten times where 4 of them she would’ve had a great chance to win and French 3 times when nonone would’ve beaten Chris 76,77,78 playing WTT instead like all the other top pros did .

The most incredible wrist I have ever seen on a tennis court, both for strength and skill. His ball had a perfect balance between weight and topspin. He had great service, adapted perfectly to any surface. I loved his sliced backhand. Great volleyer. In short, a very complete and brilliant player technically. It's a shame that physically and, above all, mentally he hadn't been a little more fit. If he had achieved it, he would have multiplied his achievements by 10.

The order of this is off. Despite my belief that McEnroe is probably the most talented volleyer at the net, the top 5 should be: #1 Sampras; #2 McEnroe; #3 Edberg; #4 Becker; #5 Noah (who was left completely off the list which is a travesty.) Again this in the ATP era as any all time list would have to include Laver and others.
