It's been a while since your last episode of this series. Great location and good to see Ben with you - I had a few hours down on the South Wales coast a good few years ago. I was on the other side of Tryfan back in March as I was walking up onto Glyder Fach - it kept going in and out of the clag. The Afon Lloer is a classic location for shooting Tryfan Tim and you came away with some very decent results. Newborough was not great sadly, its a great location on a good day. Cwm Idwal is a fantastic location and good to see you found the tree. The shot at 22:30 is a cracker. I will have to give that 17m a try on my Panny S5 sometime. When are you coming to the Brecon Beacons Tim? atb Alan

Interesting video, and definitely a part of the UK that I'd love to visit. Also, why the omission of the fp or fpL from Ben's kit list, when clearly he was using one? The fpL is an awesome landscape camera (I know because I use one exclusively for landscape photography) and it would have been great to see Sigma use this opportunity to shout about it!

@@benedictbrain8386 I agree. In fact I'd go further and claim that it is the (almost) perfect tool for landscape photography. Why almost? Because when used with the EVF the weathersealing is compromised.

Coats, rain and umbrellas - not the typical clothing and weather most happy-snappers think about going out in, yet it is at precisely these time that some of the best, most atmospheric lighting conditions can suddenly appear. This is why Joe and Colin's pictures are so evocative, so full of emotion and so bloody good; they go out knowing they may now get something, but hoping and planning for it. They are not sat in font of the TV or even a roaring log fire with a pint, they are out there. Gentleman, I salute you.

Far too often, photographers seek out the sweeping vistas when the sun is rising or setting and is reflected in the Big Stopper glass-like sea, or look for the shots of the big species on the African Savannah; they miss the every day pictures that make up our lives: the tiny mosses and lichens, the fungi amassed on a decaying log, the slow shutter speed picture of autumn leaves dancing against a crips blue sky, or the orchids bravely fighting against all odds to stand tall along some busy road verge, These are what really makes life, these are what really make where we live. Joe and Colin take all these, and they do so with a quite humbleness and modesty; without the shouting look-at-me of so much modernity and instant celebrity that is demanded by so many on KZfaq and others. Joe and Colin, I thank you, for your quiet modesty and your undoubted ability to show the world as it really is.

Anyone able to help. I have a sigma art 24mm f1.4 which I pair with my canon r8. For some reason I’m only getting a max aperture of f2.0 but the same lens operates at a maximum aperture of f1.4 with my canon 6d.

Hello and thank you for your question. It sounds like it may be a firmware compatibility issue. Please make sure that the lens and camera are both using their latest software. SIGMA lenses can be updated using a SIGMA USB Dock. We have also sent your questions to the technicians at SIGMA HQ in Japan. We will let you know if they have any additional information to share.
