Can you tell me how much will my 3ft-6ft mertles grow this year? I'm so anxious to see them as trees.

So it's July 16 and my hydrangeas flowers are just starting to wane. Should we wait until the flowers are completely faded? They still look pretty.

Very good video, you were disappointed in losing your blooms so I wonder if you could take them inside as cut flowers, or possibly grow new trees from the cuttings?

I have a question. The city brought a bush mulcher on a tractor with the chains and mangled the crepe Myrtle bushes. There's plenty that is alive, but half of the bottom stems are ripped open and exposed to the air. Will it get the powdery mildew now? Will they repair themselves? They are all jagged and destroyed looking.... Do you have any advice? They are over 20 feet tall and have been there for 40 years... I can't believe they didn't send us a letter saying to fix it. I'm so sad for my trees....

Great, informative video. I live in a condo development and have limited space. I bought a Tonto Crape Myrtle that I planted in a big, double walled, insulated planter. I use Pine bark to retain moisture in the planter. My Crape Myrtle flowered well last year. I did trim prior to winter, so the shrub jacket cover would fit. I live in zone 6b. This year, I had to trim the inner area of my Crape Myrtle. There wasn't any leaf growth on the thin stems in the center. I am hoping my Crape Myrtle looks as beautiful as it was last year. I am so impressed how fast Crape Myrtles grow.

I planted a nice 5gallon Natchez a few years ago. The main leaders are about 3/4” dia. and are now 6 to 7 foot tall and really weep out to the sides. I am worried about the flimsy tops once they bloom. I have them staked and controlled but I think in the late fall it might be time to top the tree a foot or so to promote more branching. Would this be correct ??

Great information. Not much nursery sells mums at spring time only cuttings online. Would be great if you can make a video on how those cuttings be use for landscape purposes, care and maintain :) are root cut mums ok to plant on the ground directly? Or has to be pot first and wait till it becomes a little big? Oh...and what kind of mums for landscape

Hi! Just got these great Mums off clearance table at grocery store. I’d love to help them flourish and become greater! What are some tips on how to get them there. They are tall and leggy. Being sold as “Memorial Day mums”. I’d like them to become bushier.

The problem with these methods, particularly in residential neighborhoods, is that you're not eliminating the problem. You're just relocating the problem to a neighbors yard.
