Contemplating driving. What do you do with packages when it's raining or looks like rain?

15:13 its like you felt me coming here im, considering going back to amazon. i worked for them november 2022 to late may 2023 in loveland and cheyanne. guess im possibly refreshing my mind with youtube videos about amazon. ill probably be asking for a higher rate like 21-22 an hour compared to my 18.75 i was earning for the 7 months i was there

** Never ever leave your sliding doors or any doors open as you exit the vehicle. Anything can be stolen at anytime, and it's a big safety hazard if you forget to close the door and things start flying out. If some animal is loose it can run into your van. I know it kills some time, but safety again is my biggest issue

Old veteran here, I started driving for Amazon in 2019 until 2021,everything was shut down for COVID, nowhere to use the bathroom at all. We were ground zero in Connecticut for getting things done, I remember when the mentor app first came out and pre and post trip inspections. I decided to deliver again, 3 years later, it looks like a few things have changed like the Drivers Aid number, that was not like that before. I just had my over flow packages addresses facing out. And I had a mail carrier bin on the front seat for my envelopes. Safety was and still is a big deal for me and I consistently kept an 850 Fico score, Amazon must've missed me, my back ground check came back in an hour. Oh, I will be keeping my own dolly and small mail bin. Snacks and first aid kits, always always verify your addresses and read all of the customer notes.

Can't believe you can leave your van open with the parcels on show and not have it stolen. Do that around here (Birmingham, UK, and it would be robbed within seconds.

i start tomorrow first day delivering, i'm suppose to be by myself when i start out loading how do i know where my first stop will be? and ain't you suppose to stop your engine and take the keys with you at every stop that's what i was told in training and my DSP

Why does Amazon seem like the most confusing job especially drivers the way they sort the packages out it seems so confusing

I started to deliver for Amazon back in Pennsylvania, now I live in Florida, from than to now, Amazon routing is all messed up. I don't care about how many stops or packages I get, I care about how to stops are set up, because normally I am in a busy area, with apartments, business, and houses and they expect me to be finish at a certain time....I drive step vans, what I do I always have one middle clear for my packages and I would empty 2-3 totes and organize it by street names. and keep all my overflow on one side...

Does your warehouse say if you mark on the boxes it will cost Amazon lawsuit from the customer?

Dam I got 90 business stops alone plus about 70 resi stops and 10 pickups on my UPS route. This looks lovely

Yeah, I'm starting next week... Noticed that seat belt trick. Doesn't Netradyne catch that you're not clicking/ unclicking the buckle? Sucks your DSP doesn't provide hand trucks/dollies I have my foldaway one ready as well, because I heard they're not staying with the vans (AKA growijg legs and walking away), so they gave up on providing them 😢
