I use to make motumotu with my dad. He taught me at age 7. I started changing my motumotu to puffy ones, and dad doesn't like it. So, I have some days puffy and others normal, always salty and nice for kaha maori, boil up and pork bone, nice one.

I think these colossal squids only become visible to human eyes after they mate. The males swim as if exhausted after a long time of mating and the germinated females descend to the bottom.

Becoming very large and heavy in water that supports the body is not a problem. On the Walmart parking lot it is a problem.

I tautoko completely that I would love to see more of it on display but to have some of the Ngapuhi pieces take a hikoi back up North where we could see it in person and let it know it is still valuable and loved would be phenomenal - unlikely - but a gift like that would be generationally invaluable!!

Should have gone to Specsavers. "Seven sisters"!!
@okohiaj26 күн бұрын
This story says Matariki is the mother, and the other six are her daughters, the "six sisters". Other Iwi believe there are 9 stars. Another story is that the name "Matariki" is short for "Nga *Mata* o te *Ariki* Tawhirimatea" (the eyes of Tawhirimatea). Tawhiri was so angry when his siblings separated their parents, Rangi and Papa, that he tore out his eyes and cast them into the sky.

Interestingly, I recognize the names of many of the submerged structures from the QuakeFeed smartphone app, which reports on seismic activity around the world. So as not to be overwhelmed with constant alerts, I have the minimum threshold set to Magnitude 6-yet I get MANY reports from McQuarrie Ridge and other features mentioned in the video. Strong stuff! Also, as an electronic musician myself, I love the atmospheric music accompanying the two videos I have watched so far. Looking forward to more!
