My 2021 Wrangler Sport Unlimited EcoDiesel now has 57,000 miles on it. I did get my new fuel pump at the end of 2023 and was glad nothing went wrong with it when I had almost 50,000 on it. I have found not much need for upgrades except for a 2 1/2 inch lift and 33 inch tires instead of the 31 inch tires that came with it. I have plenty of ground clearance and can go almost anywhere I want to go. I have had only 1 issue with it and that was caused by me. I tried to flush a wood rat out from under the hood with a power wash. Don't do that. 17 codes ended up appearing and it took 2 weeks to dry out and run properly. I love the sound of the diesel engine. The low end torque is fantastic. I can crawl up steep hills at just over an idle without wheel spin. If I had one wish it would be front lockers. My limited slip rear diff works very well but an open diff in the front leaves me a little short but probably keeps me out of trouble. Oh and I would also wish for a easy sway bar disconnect, too. So, for all the nay sayers about the reliability of the EcoDiesel I say it ain't failed me yet. My Wrangler keeps on going.
@LifeOutdoors2 күн бұрын
Wow that is a great warning about washing under the hood! I'll make sure to take care if I ever do that. Oddly enough, I did find an animal nest under there recently too. The diesel sure does sound nice thought! Full lockers will be down the road for me, I already have the ARB dual air compressor installed so I'll run air lockers front and rear at some point. Thanks for watching!

Well I'm glad to hear you're getting into the sport! Fishing changes a lot throughout the year. A lot of times, the period of change between seasons means that fish are biting different lures and behaving differently. In the summer time, I have the best of luck with topwater lures either in the morning or the evening and then slow presentations like a senko or jig during the day time. Try different presentations and change up your location.

Great review, I’ve been thinking about starting to look for an eco diesel gladiator, this was really comprehensive! For the tires and mpg, are those 35s? And what would you say is the range for a full tank? Also do you think you’d do an interior review, have you made any mods to the interior yet besides wiring or switch panels?
@LifeOutdoorsАй бұрын
Appreciate that! They are 35's (35x12.5R17) and the fuel range depending on the type of driving I'm doing is right around 400 miles. As for the interior, I havent done much at all because I came from a wrangler JK and the JT felt like such a big interior upgrade that it really hasnt been necessary to change. I can do a walk through of my storage spaces and what I'm using them for at some point down the road. Thanks for watching!

Over $2 million dollars to tear down those stairs, when it could be used to make them even safer, and make it legal again to be outdoors and hike up a mountain. Gawwwd, everything is "illegal" now. It was also illegal for the U.S.A. to steal Hawai'i away from the Hawaiin Nationals back in the late 1800's. Let the Hawaiin Nationals decide what to do about hiking up a/their mountain like a natural human. Geeesh.
