I'm glad that Nightwish piqued your interest in symphonic metal because another band that's a must see and hear is "'Epica"'. Their singer is Simone Simons who is also classically trained and had performed a duet with Floor Jansen from Nightwish. The piece is, "'Sancta Terra"'. Again backed by chorale and symphony. Just had your channel pop up so I don't know what you've covered or not. Another band is "'Jinjer"' lead singer Tatiana. Please do NOT check out the band until you've listened to the studio version of "'Pisces"'. I think that you'll be quite surprised by her vocals.

@randalljones437021 сағат бұрын
So far, good quality Live Bloodywood is hard to find. There may be some footage I don't know of, but so far they haven't had a top-notch live unit do their recording. BW is a largely self-funded band, so there is zero-big-label assistance in either their videos, the recordings or concert footage. They travel on the frayed end of a broken shoestring. But they are trying to do it all themselves as they realize their song-topics/sound is not commercially friendly, and they don't want to have someone saying "That's great'. Now can we re-write it in 4/4 so the western audience can dance to it?" That's not Bloodywood. And they ARE the nicest people in the world. So helpful. So generous to their fans. Anyway, I might recommend Jee Veerey, Dana Dan, Ari Ari as other songs. Some are fast-paced, some have a more reflective pace. None are boring. All will make you think.

I was lucky to see them in Boston last year on their short tour. They hit hard. You shout definitely check out Dana Dan next. Make sure to have closed captions on because the words are important: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l5xldJljm6vIYmQ.htmlsi=-VzkBNTc9LiFbOPe Also, could you please react to my favorite song by my all-time favorite band Lovebites? I enjoy your reactions to them. It's "Judgement Day", and I suggest the music video before live, because it's the best version to hear the song IMO: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o5mles2hkrabdH0.htmlsi=FKocWjzi5KPS7-mh

Two off-stage videos here on KZfaq are amazing: "A new drummer has arrived at HANABIE" (from 2023), and the current band interview "HANABIE at New Haven, Connecticut" (2 months ago). After watching that footage, any fan will love HANABIE even more (if possible at all).

Unfortunately the new album is more watered down and overproduced, little too poppy. This album here was meaty, as you said. Pure brilliance. Couple of tunes on the new one deserve a reaction, but only live versions. Album is butt. So much talent, but the wrong people behind the scenes in the production room, apparently.

If you want the ultimate Lovebites shred fest then take a look at the song "Scream for Me". That features a back and forth guitar duel between Miyako and Midori that add up in total to (and yes the fans have counted them!) no less than 14 guitar solos! It's absolutely insane!

If you like Lovebites, you should check another great metal band called Unlucky Morpheus. These two bands have something in common. If I remember correctly, UM's vocalist Fuki discovered and scouted Mao at a school festival long ago, and they played in a band together, the legendary Light Bringer. They are still best friends, but are currently both active in different metal bands. Mao is involved in about half of the songs in LOVEBITES, and Fuki is active as a vocalist in many bands, mainly UM. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iLuZhc-GrLO4p40.html

Ghost love score: 3 movement neo-classical that sounds like a score. A (great, harder, BUT) more conventional metal piece but it had a better guitar solo. "We get to see what they can do" lol. Just picking, but composition wise, GLS has more intricacies and shows more versatility in the musical package. But I understand you were appreciating how much harder this was.

Saludos
