I think it depends on whether you married a compatible person. I know a lot of content married people, and I know a lot of miserable married people. I know very few that have lasted 20 years or more. On the flip side, I’ve seen very happy single people and very lonely single people. People are wired differently. I know this is anecdotal, but I’ve seen data to show that marriage doesn’t always equal happiness and singled doesn’t always equal sadness. One interesting stat is that people revert back to baseline happiness within a year of big events such as marriage. I do believe having a family is a positive thing if the environment and relationship is healthy, but take a look around at how many are broken these days.

The Vegas story reminds me of a night I ended up partying with a group of British guys who were visiting my city for a bachelor party. We met this group and they were fun, my friends went home and I stayed with them for a bit longer, I am pretty sure they got me a drink at that point, someone was always dancing with me, but it was just good fun, there were no intentions from anyone. I don't know, it was just a really fun night, I just sad goodbye and went home at some point. But the group thing makes it different as Jordana mentioned! PS: Such a good take on the jealous boyfriend e-mail. Loved it!
