Please answer!!! First off, awesome trailer! Have you had any issues with the sidewalls flexing outward since cutting it out for the tail gate? There’s so much flex in mine I’m nervous about putting a rack on it. Any recommendations?

I actually added a 3/4 inch tube across the top to reinforce it. The tailgate is under it. The other option people do is corner braces, but I did not think it would be strong enough that way.

Gulches is about 10-12 minutes from my house but yet I’ve only been once. My wife and I took our YJ too, but I haven’t taken my JKU yet. I’ve also got an old M416 trailer I’m fixing up for a camping trailer.

Good luck on your build. I'm getting ready to make some changes. The tarp just doesn't work well, so I'm going to build a solid top. Also want to make a couple of interior upgrades and add a canopy. But having an overland trailer has been great!

Those old jeep trailers are getting harder and harder to find..... I did a cool little trailer over on my channel..... made it out of an old m101...... a little larger trailer.... but I wanted to sleep under 4 walls and a roof..... cool little trailer you got there.

I'm really liking how this came together and I think you'll like the tent. I've been in a few and they just seem so simple and roomy. I wouldn't want one on top of my vehicle, but they make a lot of sense on a trailer. Do you have any concerns about the stabilizer jacks getting hit on trails?

The departure is about the same as the Jeep, but I don't plan on dragging it through anything more than forestry roads and BLM trails. If they should get bent, I'll replace them with heavier styles.
