For anyone curious about the place names.... Ciudad Enamorada- literally "City of Being In Love." Spanish has quite a few words pertaining to love and loving, "enamorarse" is kind of like infatuation but with more of a feeling of permanence. Vista Hermosa- "Handsome View" hermosa/o is literally translated as "handsome" but used more like "good-looking" I'm not sure whether it can be used for inanimate objects. I'm used to seeing it more in an attractiveness context Plaza Mariposa- "Butterfly Square/Place" will they be introducing more butterflies with this world? We're also seeing repeated butterfly motifs in hairclips and jewelry, so I would keep an eye out for butterflies in the bb as well. Nuevo Corazon- "New Heart" This is an interesting choice for a place name as "corazon" can be used like center in English as well as the heart in one's chest, the emotional heart, and the shape... but I'm not sure how often corazon is used in descriptions of places. From an English speaking perspective, this implies a more developed area. Mirador del Amor- I think they're going for "Seeker of Love" but the definitions I'm finding translate el mirador as "one who watches" and the term is applied to windows, balconies, even waiters. Beso Rapido- Is this a rent by the hour hotel? Literally "Quick Kiss" Laguna del Abrazo- Lake/Lagoon of Embraces sounds like where the water fae embrace hapless men and drag them to their doom. Sudor- "The Sweaty Person" this is interesting to me because it's like if the concept of sweat were a person.

4:22 i think holding hands will never come to the sims 4 since they would need to add dynamic/adaptive animations and much more heavy coding (to like avoid smaller areas, keep close to one another, wait for another sim if they get stuck etc) for a small feature that not everyone will use or want to experience. 6:30 i think all the butterfly fairy hints were for this pack im sorry, like they were referencing this pack.

Stupid thing about the saving energy: I didn't know how to get rid of it so I thought I can buy the energy making things so I will have energy even if the energy plant doesn't send it. It still doesn't do anything. Same with water thing and the saving water. It will just turn off everything, no matter if you produce it, have it saved, anything.

I wish they'd updated gender to actually allow for nonbinary and genderfluid sims before this pack. I think they definitely made adding diverse genders more difficult on themselves by linking it to sex instead of making it it's own mechanic. It sucks that you can change your pronouns (and not even in most languages), but the game is doubling down on you only really being a man or a woman.

Really appreciate your video covering the trailer, thank you 😊 - as I think since the pack is more gameplay focused it's quite hard to see everything reflected in the trailer which makes it harder to accurately judge. Thank you for also commenting on the assets locked behind the pre-order paywall. I would much prefer them being included in the pack or if they were like freely accessible hype items for the dlc. For instance - there are the 3 assets, imagine when the dlc launches, EA simultaneously launch 3 unique time gated scenarios that link to the pack theme like scenario 1) being to romance X amount of sims, scenario 2) Unlikely pairing - have a successful romantic relationship with a sim that is the opposite of your playable sim (opposites attract), scenario 3) Mini 100 Baby challenge - have at least 1 baby with 10 different sims during 1 sim week. Etc. Each scenario is linked to an individual asset so for instance if I wanted the eyeliner I could complete scenario 1, and also complete scenario 3 for the bed. If I didn't want the plushie I don't have to do the scenario 2 to get it or I could do it if I thought the scenario is fun but not have to claim the item. This is just an idea I had but I think it would achieve what the recent 'battle pass-lite' event with the daily/weekly logins that EA launched and more. This would get Simmers hyped for the new pack, get players logging in consistently and playing with the game for a period of time (not just logging in and logging off), its optional and allows players to be rewarded for playing the game even if they aren't able to purchase the new dlc. Plus EA could have a hashtag for this event and Simmers could share how their scenarios went online, increasing brand awareness online and hopefully flooding socials with positive reception maybe incentivising more people to buy the new dlc. As currently with the pre-order bonuses being paywalled and the vagueness of trailers and the worry of bugs and setting expectations to high for a new pack, the discourse tends to be more on the negative side. So I just thought that the idea I had would benefit the players and the game and add to a more positive discourse surrounding a new pack release. 😊 But this is just an idea, I doubt will ever actually happen.

You are so right on all of these... For the reward store, there can be stuff like "takes more time to overcharge" for spellcasters or fury for werewolves. I haven't played with those packs a lot just yet so I don't know if those are already things available for the occult tier lists that they have, but even just small things like that. And don't get me started on the mermaids

I’ve been having so many issues since the last update

It asked me about ALL of the multiple choice things it felt like and I said I was most interested in gameplay and occults or build/buy. OR it might be that because I have NoScr!pt in Firefox something went pear-shaped because with those multiple-choice ones about brands and franchises at first I swear it only asked me about home goods and then I think franchises but when I clicked the Next button it suddenly popped up saying there were things that were required and I got the fashion and sports as well. I thought I missed one or two dots because there's SOOO many and I had to think about a few (also there were duplicates, ie Spider-Man was on there twice during the same section of the questionnaire) but then I SWEAR when it tried to tell me to go back it refreshed the page too and it popped up with everything after that (maybe not actually everything, and my mouse is kinda glitchy, but I don't think I was so tired that I somehow skipped past entire sections.)

Interesting! I had totally different brands in mine, like Doritos, Kitchen Aid, Anthropology, and Ikea. I saw some people posting they more celebrity based questions so it seems like there is a whole bunch of different options going on in the surveys. I just hope this is a collaboration survey and not a which-ads-can-we-get-away-with-adding-in-the-game. Sure, give us an Ikea pack, that might be nice, but don't put ads on the cart button, or the homescreen/pause menu like the CEO was talking about in that quarterly meeting.

I like your idea about events (like Sims inviting us to their events instead of always having to host), but based on the pre-prom party for H.S. Years which is almost always lame, I hope they would design some ‘scripts’ if the did that, sort of like a mini scenerio that the host family falls into when they invite your sim over. Cause right now sims get invited to the pre-prom party and show up at the inviter’s home and Sims either do nothing, do homework, or wander around doing random stuff as oppose to partying. Th game should boot out all non-Teens, have music on by default, and have the directives of a party take over the host family. This would of course vary based on what kind of event was happening.

I feel like collabing with fast fashion brands would be such a bad idea, considering how many designs there are stolen from small companies. But they also like to take CC creators ideas without crediting them so kinda fitting, not going to lie. But in general, if they would ask about fairies now, then it means the pack will be in winter 2025 the earliest, I assume more like 2026, unless they've already made it and ask just so they want to know what to add and what to remove. At least that's what I think would be reasonable time for making GP, because I assume it would be game pack like all occults other than mermaids.
